Motorola phones are quite well-built. I still remember seeing my ancient Motorola 8700 (the super old flip type black brick phone) slid off the top of my friend's car and onto the road pavement. The poor phone broke into 2 pieces (the battery fell off). Picked up the phone, reattached the battery, pressed the ON button. Hey presto! Still worked like a charm. The phone didn't even know what hit it and like dun care also.... hahaha....

hey all forumner, new ms user here and use ms for few days... wondering why i installed google pinyin and when i type chinese msg to my fren and my fren complain said that he/she cant see the msg and it appears nothing but only symbol, so how to solve it? .... ur help will be appreciate

I apologise for not always participating in this section of the android forums, but because my sis uses the milestone I'm here.

She does face some issues when using the phone.

I installed launcher pro for her, but she tells me that it hangs at times and gets laggy.

Has anyone tried installing the lite custom rom from the XDA forums?

MYstombox, i also encounter prob with lancher pro.
always force close; cant do anything..hehe
maybe need a big memory to handle lancher pro.
maybe can try overclock a bit like 720Mhz..more smoother and battery life seem OK.
no issue for heat by now.apps response more smoother but launcher pro still force close sometimes.

Thanks for the feedback, I don't see my sis often enough to diagnose her problems. Next time I see her, her phone will be with me for only 1 night so I can install a custom ROM or something to make her android experience better.

At the moment she complains that it hangs and stuff.

Any recommended ROM to install that is lean and stable?

I'm reading xda devs at the moment and one ROM did state that it is light version and stable.

not sure for ROM , but u can try GOT version that have some modification on look and duno its stable or not.never tried it.
make sure make a backup first as per recomendation for restoration if something happen.
you can ask otai2 here about GOT version as some otai had tried it.

Are you using the stock launcher at the moment?

I'm thinking of getting ADW for her when she gets back. I really don't think the hanging and stuff is that much of the phone's fault but rather more like the launcher wasn't optimised to run on it.
