I believe this has nothing to do with the Google pinyin. My phone is not installed with Google pinyin but i can received chinese SMS.

Is your unit from Brightstar or bought in other country?

mine can receive chinese sms either but its the matter of sending... btw, i found the way to send chinese msg, by installing handcent sms and its work =D

i've downloaded the google pinyin but i can't even find the directory to open it. there's no icon at the menu too.

btw how come my phone can't type chinese?

and does everything that we've downloaded from the market will be stored in the phone's memory rather than the sd/memory card? cause my phone is low on space. i didn't even downloaded a significant amount of games and applications.

go to settings/language & keyboard & tick on the Google pinyin
When wanna write in chinese, long press on the input area, a "input method" screen will pop up, click on it & select "google pinyin" , you will be able to input using Google pinyin

For android 2.1 every application will be stored in phone memory.

Go to setting/applications/manage applications & see what application has eaten up your phone memory & uninstall from there.

Anyone of you has yet to experience ribbon problem? Will the slider spoil with daily slide up and down?

Anyway, the slider action is still quite solid after a few months of usage so far...

Something like flex cable for the slider to up and down, my N80 ribbon spoils after 1year, outside the warranty period. Usually slide phones use ribbon mechanism. So need to ask users here first.

been using launcher pro since forever. but i set all the settings to low-medium settings, didn't enable some of those fancy stuff and don't use many widgets. it rarely hangs, maybe sometimes when exiting games that use a lot of memory.

Well.. most of us know that motorola design durable la..
Till now, I never heard that kind of problem for milestone user.. even if u try to play with the slide qwerty la kan, confirm u'll confident with it la.. dunno la.. they design it perfect..

the common problem for milestone is.. the camera button paint usually peel off the gold one..

If true then I will consider buying milestone also, really like the design and slimness, currently ori selling rm1799, ok I think.

I dun recommend buying ori...as its really solid stable...ap can get as cheap as rm1.3k....

Some Penang shops are suck blood one, they say dun have AP, some times ask they say have but price not as low as KL price. So that's why I not yet buy, if not really regret later.

i've downloaded the handcent sms and i like it, but the problem is when i received sms i received it both through the handcent and the original messaging software in my phone. how to delete the original messaging program? do i need to root my phone?

is there a new OTA update for milestone?

set your message notification ringtone to silent in your default messaging option..no need to root it..

dun need to delete the original sms application la, later if handcent no good you can use back the original one.

anyway, when you delete the message in either Handcent or in the ori sms software, both also will be deleted.
