yes MSU does not work for me either.
what i do is download the megaupload file and flash the sbf via rsd lite.
only takes 15 minutes to do it.

i think there's no diff since it is official one. fyi, my phone is AP set from EU.

Has anyone successfully updated through the MSU? Seems like everyone is doing it through rsd.

make sure to back up all data, coz this update will erase everything

Added on March 16, 2011, 10:51 am-Motorola is committed to continually meet and exceed our consumers' expectations. Due to the extremely high number of requests for the Android 2.2. (FROYO) software upgrade, we are making the upgrade package available to consumers who wish to voluntarily upgrade their own devices via MSU.

Maybe this update isnt final.Maybe it is aimed at all impatient because the final will probably be delayed again.Who knows...

The Milestone and some other Moto phones report the battery status in 10% blocks. No fix for that unfortunately.

I am using CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread) now. Still alot of bugs and battery drain issues.

For Custom Froyo, I used to use CRONOS Froyo ROM
