hi there, just wanna ask where is the nearest motorola service centre from my place which currently is Nilai, cause some liquid went into my ms and caused corrosion and i went to singapore to get it fix (under warranty but doesn't include liquid damages) but they replied me:

Our technicians here at Motorola Service Centre have assessed your Milestone device and found evidence of corrosion inside the phone. Unfortunately, our warranty does not cover liquid damage. Therefore, we are unable to replace the damaged components of your phone under the warranty coverage. If you would like to replace these parts, the quotation for the repairs is $366.Please let us know how you would like to proceed. Thank you.

Arrrgh..my camera not working.on camera just got black screen.
after snap photo also black picture.
this happen after i update ota for latest 0.36 UK version.
Any others forumer update GB Version got this issue?

Corrosion means water already got inside the phone, and it has been there for quite sometime. I believe the only solution is to replace the whole mother board which of course very expensive no matter where you do it.

If you synced your contacts and emails, you can always get them back when you link another android phone with your gmail account.

the problem is before my phone spoils my hand itchy go and delete all my contacts because i wanted to rearrange my contacts

maybe not in tis forum but other droid forum could encounter d same prob

i got sked..izzit normal the download speed for the update is so slow...

Hi, i just switched to milestone from HTC MAGIC (2.2 cynogen mod).

My milestone come with only android 2.0, there are few problems i ecountered,

First, the market seems to inferior to magic, i can't even search some of the programs i using on my magic last time like Launcher Pro, ADW Launcher, Opera browser, DSP manager.... to name a few
Some of them, Even i download manually it won't install or run properlly. Is it becouse of the android version or this phone isn't compatible with this programes, anyone using those programes i mentioned above?

Second, area around the phone speaker seems heated up after talking or using the phone for some time, feels like going to burn my ears

Third, i found the destop scrolling seems to be more laggy than magic on original clock speed, is this becouse of the os version or its normal?

My milestone did'n come with SD card, can't use MotoNav, anyone have the source or mind to share?

I already rooted the phone, any stable ROMS to recommend?


Apart some problems i mentioned, milestome is still a great phone
