This is about milestone not milestone 2. I hope u are old enough to differentiate between milestone thread v2 and milestone 2 (which is unconfirmed anyway).

If u consider your patience will pay off by waiting then I suggest u wait another 3 years becos by then u will get 5GHz cpu and DSLR quality camera.

The only downside for milestone is its picture taking, if u have enough light then the pictures turn out fine. Under low light condition or indoor, the image looks abit hazy and the led flash doesn't help much. Any update on image quality in froyo?

Motonav is a preinstalled app in milestone, thats why we need root to remove it. I mean remove the 60 days trial version and replace with the *** one, without the activation thing. The map coverage for malaysia is around 54%, most new roads wont be in the map i guess. Not until iGo release a new version with new maps.

The best satnav right now would be the papago m6 but i understand that it only have chinese menu?

Then i guess motonav is a better option, tho I hate how the location search works. It felt like buying movie ticket, even tho the queue is empty u still need to go zigzaging thru the lane biggrin.gif

ndrive 10 looks quite good, seems better than current motonav in our milestone. the app itself is free but u have to pay for the maps. for 20euros u get the latest (may2010) maps for brunei, malaysia & singapore. probably i'll buy it to replace motonav.

HTC keyboard and Better Keyboard are good replacements to the stock one. Currently I'm using Better Keyboard. Less typing mistake smile.gif

installed the multi-touch keyboard. now i can type as fast as typing in iphone.

the multi-touch keyboard is a system app, i think it will be the stock keyboard in all future moto phones. not sure if it will install in non-rooted phones. in my case, i have the stock moto keyboard and the app wont install. after i removed the stock keyboard then only it can install.

stock keyboard comes preinstalled in milestone = Motorola Keyboard
stock Droid X keyboard = multi-touch keyboard

correct me if i'm wrong. any non-root user manage to install the multi-touch keyboard? perhaps non-motorola phones can.

Yup the & symbol is the same here, getting &amp instead. And 'less than' symbol doesn't work as well, getting & instead.

Thats fine with me, i dont relly used that symbol that much. Vibrate is working but hsnot always, i still prefer without vibrate.

U need to root your phone then remove the stock keyboard using terminal. There are a lot of guides online. Do at your own risk smile.gif

Added on June 27, 2010, 3:35 pmThere are some discussions suggesting that the boot sound is actually the notification sound for the sd card mounting process.

im not sure if this will solve the 'unplug earphone - song playing' issue, but can anyone confirm it?

- download MortPlayer Music from the Market and check both options under Headset menu.

this player will replace the stock app (and its better also). so far no autoplay happens yet when i unplug the earphone.
