hey guys . i jz got my x8 today .. i tried to root it . .but it keep jam at the waiting for device there, and the program goes not responding. anyone can help me ?

x8 runs on android 2.1 eclair. no longer 1.6. it is upgradable. but as a x8 user. the only problem i found was its poor battery life. the camera quality isnt that good. it has no auto focus. the pages on internet it tiny. the touch screen not that responsive on some touch and too responsive on others. no flash player. no multitouch. speaker quality lousy. keypad (seriously, is anybody's fingers that tiny?) being a 2.1, all the apps as installed on the internal memory since google doesnt want pirated apps. WTH with that. and since apps installed on internal memory, it eats alot of phone memory, hence the phone lags alot. ALOT. and SE says the max you can upgrade is 2.1 and not compatible with 2.2 since it has hardware issues. WTF?! is SE pms-ing around with all its users? seriously, does SE want its fan base to decline so much that everybody who wants an android would prefer htc? gawd.....

gav up on rooting n flashing . anyone offering their service here ? willing to pay for it . at selangor / kl area

try to upgrade your phone to 2.1 via seus first.... then follow the instruction from

Nope, didn't have this issue with my unit. Mine was pretty solid tbh.

Hi guys, need some help here.

I need someone help to verify if it's my phone issue or all X8 have the same issue.

Start Camera (stock), then go back homescreen, then lock the phone, then start camera (stock) again. Most of the time my phone will restart itself, same goes to Vignette app on the phone. (happens in 1.6, 2.1, and latest 2.1)

I have saw a few people having the same issue, but seems like most of you guys doesn't have this issue, so I am thinking to send back to seller for a repair/replacement since it's a manufacturing defect.

open camera
close camera
lock phone
unlock phone
open camera
close camera

open camera
go to homescreen
lock phone
unlock phone
open camera
go to homescreen

Thanks bro, if there all fine to you after a few times cycle, guess it's my unit problem then. My unit always tend to restart when I start up the camera between these steps.

Im juz using normal cheap silicon casing..

It is not yet fully stable.. Try looking at xda developers..
