for the meantime i recommend rom by rahct
u can choose either floyo 2.2.1 0.15 or 2.3.3 CM7 RC3

before u flashing any rom..make sure u do a full wipe using
xRecovery..then ...flashing by push 'restore' in xrecovery

then install root explorer..
install xRecovery using root explorer...
after u've done all mentioned above..
then u can install any Roms that u feel best..

Is there anyway to read the saved sms on sim card? I can read the ones in inbox.

i think android can only read sms saved in sdcard..not simcard..

dad bought me x8 as present...
im new so need some advice on these >.<

1. insufficient memory ( lol installed apps n games but all using phone memory...can move the folders to sd card like normal phones? )

2. its using android 2.1 .. can update higher ? official ? how bout the warranty if non-official update?

1. You need to root ur phone then can move ur apps using apps2sd.
2. we just got 2.1 update so i dont think we'll get 2.3 anytime soon even though its confirmed for X10. There are custom roms for 2.2 now I think. Still you need to root it and technically ur warranty will be voided if u do that.

For the sms, so I need to put my simcard into my old phone, transfer it to somewhere and send it back to my new phone?

Another thing, is there Exchange support for this version of eclair?

1. im using 2.1 so if root and have apps2sd than can ? why some site wrote atleast 2.2 ?
2. ok...some website write if make 1 recovery b4 root and if if if really need for warranty purpose flash back n unroot -.-? lol ?

Some also say if i root without unlocking the bootloader than the warranty wont void (universalandroot)
and many software can be used to root use which ?>

the partition and to make it works...

so..easy way to make it work..just root your 2.1
then install xRecovery..flash to roms by racht or jarpelea (2.2 and above)
u don't have to do own your own the partition
it comes with the roms already...

for the warranty matter..it will void for sure

Really? 2.3.3 would be ginger already right? I guess I'll stick to stock UI first for these few weeks at least. When I'm bored then I'll proceed to rooting . Currently Im able to access the mail via IMAPI, with K-9 Mail client. The stock Mail client really rubbish, crashes every time I try to open an email in my inbox .

Is there free 2GB SD card come bundled together with original set? When I open my box I din't see the SD card, then the shopkeeper gave me a free 2GB SD card after I bising bising.

Yup...if you're on 2.1...to install app2sd u have
to do the partition..i won't recommend it because if you done it wrong
your fone won't boot and stuck at 'sony ericsson' logo

for the meantime racht's rom CM 2.2 Hackdroid 0.15 is the most
stable Rom..
