Guys, I need some help. Everytime I try to use my camera, it says "Insert Memory Card". Same thing applies when I try to use apps which require using the SD-Card as well, such as Tubemate. It also fails when receiving files via Bluetooth. The thing is, when I check the settings, it shows that the SD card is inserted, and even show how much space is free to use. I need to unmount, remove, and re-insert the SD card manually and this prob is fixed, but only temporarily. As soon as I try to use the camera again, it shows the same thing after a while. Is this a case of a faulty SD card or something else?  sad.gif

If changing the SD Card still the same.... try your luck by repair your phone via SEUS or Sony Ericsson PC Companion
if after repairing still the same ... then sent to warranty...

Just swapped memory cards at the shop, it's working fine now. But on another note, I just realised I've been given Class 2 memory cards, so I'm not sure how much thats going to affect performance. So far so good though. *touch wood*

i dunno if u notice or not the performance if u r on class 2, 4, 6 or 10, but the higher the better if u apply app2sd.. me myself got a 8gb class 6, eventho dunno how it performs, but juz to b on a safe side..

hi guys

I just bought SE X8 2 days ago.
I updated it into 2.1 with PC companion. The update went smooth.
At first I cant sign in to android market with my google account.
Then I tried to sign in to Youtube with my account and it went well.
I can sign in to Gmail as well.

The problem is, when i tried to open the Android Market, it opened the Term of Service window and it said :
"Attention : An error has occured. Please try again later. "

I have search for solutions in the web and tried these :
-Clear cache
-Remove battery
-Remove sim card
-Turn off WCDMA mode.
-Turn airplane mode on and off.
-synchronize account

My phone is not rooted or customized in any ways.

I havent tried to factory reset the phone since I am afraid I have to update it again from 1.6 to 2.1.

Anyone got the same problem ?

hi guys. just bought my x8 a few days ago. and now trying to install the app2sd by following the guide herehere . the problem is now i stuck at this step;

In your pc open up a dos terminal box by typing cmd in the Search programs and files box.

Type

cd /adb

then type

adb shell

then type

sh /sdcard/app2sd.sh

can someone enlighten me on how to run these command since i always got "the system cannot find the path specified". is there any additional program that i need to install first?

and is there any custom froyo/gingerbread rom available for x8 as for now?

I can say its a good phone. Hardly any lags, 2.1 update is quite good and now AP set price even go down to 600.
I believe its a better 3.0 phone compared to the Galaxy 5 due to the same value, and also easy to get the accessories compared to Galaxy 5.
I would say at that price point it is still the best phone.

First of all, u nid to root ur phone. Latest superoneclick can root our phone..

Secondly, try run the command from ur superoneclick path..

Make sure ur phone is not mounted..

Make sure u already partitioned ur phone..

N juz for a tips, for the camera, set to sport mode to reduce image blur, but make sure u hav a good lighting..

X8 definitely has compass hardware. Go download GPS Status from the market, besides boosting your GPS signal, it does show you the compass.

My friend planning to buy this phone. Cost only RM800 at SE shop. The problem is the X8 screen might not support all the apps in the market according to the SE sales guy.

So far any apps that you guys find that is not support by X8 due to the screen?
