Guys, recently there are many car break-in cases at my place. Some even got stolen..but those are old cars. I believe NHC will need the correct key with the electronic chip to start the car. So doest this mean my NHC is 'more secure' than the other cars or is it better to invest in a lock?
*
that's the naive thinking that built in security system can protect ur, civic should be a higher segment car than city and there are so many cases it gets stolen.

recently there are increased cases of NHC kena stolen too.

so whether to install more security system or lock to protect ur baby, it is up to individual "belief" in the built in system man. rclxm9.gif

modern car no need break in bro.
i already belasah my car right after i got it.
a car is not perfect & we got 3 years warranty so while it was in warranty we should use it to the fullest.
after 3 years only we should take care of the car. btw, after 3 years i'll definitely buy another car... hehe

Rule of thumb is first 1000km of your car. After that ur free to rev

*
hmm..contrary to the above bro comment, you think it is best to take good care of the car (i.e. not revv too hard) before 1st 1000km huh? now i'm confuse, which one is true? rclxub.gif

if u read the manual of the car, it does clearly stated abt the break in of engine. so i would think it is still necessary as it is officially stated in manual?

there is no 100% anti-theft device, be it a simple steering lock, nor the so called GPS/satellite tracking device wink.gif

it is just to delay the theft to steal your beloved car on-the-spot, but at the end, if they really want to steal your car, it's just matter of time/ whether they willing to do it or not with more effort tongue.gif

so to install those additional security is to let you feel relief a bit, and at least you won't feel 'sakit hati' too much as you can console your ownself that i've already done my best effort to protect my car but just that i'm unlucky to be stole by a more 'hardworking'/ 'professional' theft laugh.gif

My first car was a Myvi and I took it down to JB and back to KL for some work training course the same day it came out from the showroom. Maintain at around 3k rpm all the way at constant speed and the engine was smooth after that due to care in running in the engine. That alone told me that its worthwhile not to over rev is before reaching 1000km. Did not have the luxury of bringing my NHC up and down the highway like how I did for my Myvi though.

Anyway what is the point or revving your engine all the time when your car is still new? If you are going to have this car for lets say a period of more than 5 yrs, obviously it's better not to rev so much. Yeah, the manual book did state something about break-in period and also the brakes...

Hi ppl, may i ask those who had bought the Honda City recently, how long does it take to get your car (from the day you place the booking)?? I've been waiting for more than a month already (placed the booking on the end of March, Alabaster Silver) and there's still no news on the car yet. De SA actually promised us that I could get the car within 2-3 weeks when my dad placed the booking sad.gif

hi, u're pa sang lang too?? nice to meet you.. booked mine at Actmar Motor, Bandar Baru Klang, should have booked from Nanyang instead, really disappointed. My dad actually deal with the SA before when he bought his Accord last time that's why we went back to him but really sienz man now..

When de SA couldn't deliver the car on time, he tried to push me to get another unit which is done with tinting and ask us to pay additional RM400 for it (minus the RM1k discount which he gave us for the car, so total is RM1.4k) and he told me that there won't be any car coming in for the month of May but I figure out it was total bullsh!t in de end. I thought Honda is known for their good service and I'm really not expecting this, also one of the reason why I chose NHC over Forte. My dad is considering whether to cancel the booking or not but if we cancel he already registered the number plate (which is 'WVD' plate, i think now it's 'WVF' edi rite?? lol) and we have to wait again if we book again elsewhere shakehead.gif

Btw, you're a City driver too?? how long have you driven it and your review on the car if you don't mind tongue.gif

Wa you guys managed to get it in less than a month,so lucky. Last year, i waited for almost 2months plus to get the car. Anyway Nelson, try telling your SA that you gonna cancel booking and see what is his reaction since some other ppl got the car within 2 weeks time

err?? whats wrong with the highway?? u can still maintain 110 rite?? around 2.2-2.3k rev (if i'm not mistaken)

3k rev is almost 150kph if i'm not mistaken...coz 160kph is around 3.2-3.4k rev...
