Hi all, please visit http://hc3msia.com/index.php?showtopic=67 to see how to enable the alarm for the boot. SC will do it FOC if you ask them to "enable the alarm for the boot". I've asked SC to do mine - it's a 5 mins job. I hope they have done that by default for latest NHC batches.
*
wow thanks bro for your kind sharing. Now my rear boot got alarm triggerred when i try to open with the key.

However, just a question, since that orange socket is originally connected to the connector, that means it must serves some kind of function/ purpose, i just worry is that any risk if we detached the connector (although we can now activate the rear boot alarm)... hmm.gif

anyone got any info to share about this? notworthy.gif

I'm not sure about the connector but I've done mine by SC about a year ago so that will mean 2 things - no warranty void & I believe the connection serves no function/purpose as there's no issue found after a year.
*
Well then i guess it's ok and thanks again for the info thumbup.gif

The odometer needs to minus 2 out from the figure displayed... That will be your exact readings.
*
har really?

if like that when i get 8km/l reading that means in actual i only get 6km/l fuel consumption? lol that is bad man~ sweat.gif

modern car no need break in bro.
i already belasah my car right after i got it.
a car is not perfect & we got 3 years warranty so while it was in warranty we should use it to the fullest.
after 3 years only we should take care of the car. btw, after 3 years i'll definitely buy another car... hehe
just my duaposen

Rule of thumb is first 1000km of your car. After that ur free to rev

*
hmm..contrary to the above bro comment, you think it is best to take good care of the car (i.e. not revv too hard) before 1st 1000km huh? now i'm confuse, which one is true? rclxub.gif

QUOTE(IpohBoY @ May 2 2011, 12:19 PM)
Guys, recently there are many car break-in cases at my place. Some even got stolen..but those are old cars. I believe NHC will need the correct key with the electronic chip to start the car. So doest this mean my NHC is 'more secure' than the other cars or is it better to invest in a lock?
*
there is no 100% anti-theft device, be it a simple steering lock, nor the so called GPS/satellite tracking device wink.gif

it is just to delay the theft to steal your beloved car on-the-spot, but at the end, if they really want to steal your car, it's just matter of time/ whether they willing to do it or not with more effort tongue.gif

so to install those additional security is to let you feel relief a bit, and at least you won't feel 'sakit hati' too much as you can console your ownself that i've already done my best effort to protect my car but just that i'm unlucky to be stole by a more 'hardworking'/ 'professional' theft laugh.gif

if u read the manual of the car, it does clearly stated abt the break in of engine. so i would think it is still necessary as it is officially stated in manual?
*

And guess what..

One of the lugs on the left rear wheel was missing. They also accidently scratched my rear bumper.

Thank god they fixed the lugs & promised to touch up the bumper for me @ FOC.

*
LOL you didn't notice the missing lugs and the scratches on your rear bumper upon delivery? shocking.gif

Just to share some knowledge and finding about New Car's engine breaking-in. There are 2 totally different idea:-
1) follow your manual book (smooth running-in)
2) strong approach running-in (refer link below)
I combined both idea, first 800km running-in mild (smooth) and then follow by 200km take it to 5k-6k rev and more than 120km/h, once reach 1000km, go for first service and change engine oil (request and pay for it), since after running-in, a lot of fine particles inside the oil.

haha even before my car reach 1000km i already drive uphill to genting revved the engine like hell, can hear the engine roared so hard tongue.gif after that straight go to do my 1st 1000km service rolleyes.gif

D gear, total 3 adults and a kid cool2.gif

although my car is E-spec but i seldom use the paddle shift (lazy to downshift then upshift sweat.gif)

just maintain you momentum then i don't see any problem driving uphill smoothly with D gear. Just trust your i-vtec power thumbup.gif

It is always own preference, i dont fancy other colours like grey, silver or black ... look like average colour cars you can see it anywhere. Boring and dull to me  laugh.gif

Gold seems ok though, at least looks more interesting compared to the boring colours. But that is just my own preference though.
*
yeah when i wanna get my NHC, the 1st priority for me is the gold colour (in fact HM called it Beige colour), coz that colour seems special, rather than those ordinary colour like silver, grey, black...

To bad the gold colour has been discontinued when i was ready to purchase the car, so dissapointed and end up no choice but to choose grey colour (HM called it Polish Metal Metallic), as black & white colour very hard to maintain, and i dont like silver colour (too common colour)... cry.gif

haha nvm i'm now really a uncle ma laugh.gif

better than those who opted for silver colour in which mostly the preferred colour by many uncle, coz it's the most common and 'safe' colour for them haha tongue.gif (not offence to those who picked silver colour ya rolleyes.gif)

wtf!!!!!!!!

tongue.gif got few ppl enquiry already. Well spent a small amount of money to give a peace of your mind, and this locktech is very convenient and easy to use + with double lock mechanism, better than you spend few thousand on those GPS/Satellite tracking device (not to forget need to pay annual subscription fees), although it have its value but kinda expensive to an ordinary poor ppl like me wink.gif

hi guys,

i'm planning to get NHC E/S next month.
i really appreciate if u guys can recommand me a very good authorize dealer and SA who has the best offer  (interest rate, ready stock, lot of freebies) icon_question.gif

btw, i live at shah alam. maybe u can suggest somewhere near (usj, sunway etc)

how much the best interest rate so far.if i'm not mistaken last time someone said we can get lowest at 2.88% up to 9 years  hmm.gif

please correct me if i'm wrong  wink.gif
*
for me i think all dealers are the same. As for the % rate, i got mine at 2.65% @ 9 years @ public bank about a month ago, so you're suppose to get lower than 2.88% right now smile.gif
