Thanks for the pics bro, doesn't look too bad at all. Technically should run quieter than our stock tires. Mine's emitting a lot of road noise doh.gif Maybe some dynamat should help too.

What tyres u using now?

Actually the Yokohama A.Drive R1 205/50/R16 does emits road noise but lower than the Stock tyres... That is what i felt... Mine with Dynamat 9pcs installed..

You can join us for our next TT.. to check it out if u want.

Do check for any TT updates from www.hc3msia.com
*
Using stock tires now bro so its bloody noisy. How's the dynamat doing for u? Assuming u installed on 4 doors as well as the front and/or rear tire arches.

Sure thing bro but always working overseas so I'm kinda always missing out on stuff at home doh.gif

Hmm yours is the Conti or Goodyear tyres?

Yeah the dynamat does helps a lot on the noise reduction. I installed 9pcs.. 3 pieces on 4 doors. 3 pieces on the interior floorr, 2 pieces for front & back mudguards and 1 piece for the boot area..

Totally understand about the working overseas feeling, me too going often. But do check it out our forum at www.hc3msia.com when u do have time to come.
*
Using goodyear ones...i think the conti ones would b better. i think the doors n mudguard areas are key points to install. alrites will check it out bro.

QUOTE(abubin @ Jul 7 2010, 11:45 AM)
Really that noisy? I don't notice much noise from mine. In fact is it very quiet for me compared to local or korean cars.
*
i often drive without music turned on and when u touch 60kmh and above u get a lot of road noise. imho i think the NVH on the current vios is better. maybe due to its tire brand and how much insulation it has comparing to the city. try opening your bonnet and look at the insulation HM uses to insulate the noise at the firewall and u'll understand why.

if install whole cabin cover which part? under the seat also?
*
Whole cabin means they'll rip yr whole interior and put sound proofing material before putting back your interior. Seen them doing it to expensive cars too. Can cry seeing them tearing apart your car. There's a well known specialist which charge RM980 as their base price to sound proof your car but those are for extreme audiophiles

I think I'm fine with sound proofing the 4 doors and mudguard areas

Hey guys just wondering, is it just my car or your guys also notice that when driving the Honda City, the brake pedal feels a little hard to when u press.

Not so hard i mean, but you can notice it not that soft when u hit the brake pedal while driving.

Or something wrong with my brake pedal? Any comments?
*
Hard? Hmmm nope not in my case. I oni get that clicking noise when I press the brake pedal before shifting the gear from P to R, N and D or S which SC said 'it's normal lah'. I swear I did not get that noise within the 1st month I got the car doh.gif

Oh I just saw in the news about Conti releasing a new range called ContiComfortContact CC5 and it has our size in it! Wonder how it will handle comparing to the stock Goodyear ones...

Yep...bumpy alrite..but what to do...honda gave us rear torsion beam suspension...cheapest to manufacture haha. Try looking at the other honda models and u will see that our suspension setup is the cheapest n simplest among the rest. Bump bump bump~ doh.gif

err i think most B-segment uses torsion beam suspension. btw civic uses double wishbone rear setup which is by far more superior than macphersons in most jap c-segment
*
Yeap...B segment cars were made by manufacturers to be cheaper so they can tap into a larger market hence manufacturing costs have to be lowered. Can't do much abt that. Yeah civic uses a diff setup..check out the accord's multi link setup too. For the record, Toyota cars suspension setup isn't as complicated as Honda hence helping them to lower costs sweat.gif

no prob for me even listen to FM..........

anyone knows if there is anyway to make the display text on the LED for the audio player to animated text?

becos it only displays partial name of the track info......... shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif
*
No problem listening to FM for me so far..haha.

Nah u cannot have the player show text as our FM radio in the car does not support Radio Data System (RDS) but there are other car brands who incorporate RDS into their cars...aih Honda Honda...

As for your mp3 player...it will show text if the mp3 u put into yr usb stick already has info stored into it. Same goes for yr ipod and I believe it will show the whole line of text once before stopping at the 1st character and u will only see the 1st few words of the song/artist/album if the name is too long haha sweat.gif doh.gif

the temperature of the tyre affects the pressure la..................... sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

if ur tyre ish hot, and u go do check on the tyre pressure will be higher one.........
*
Yep...best to pump in the morning before u go to work or something. I usually release hot air in my tyres if I have to pump in the afternoon before I pump and its good practice to bring your own tyre pressure gauge as their pumps are often a little off.

but how much does it cost to do the check??

besides, what causes the prob to the balancing in the first place? my car only 2 mths......

those holes on the road????? shocking.gif  shocking.gif
*
Lol that explains why yr car is shaking. Holes on the road will do damage to yr suspension, rims and tyres.

I sent my car in for balancing n alignment during my 1000km service just to c if everything is fine. Since our roads got damn a lot of holes I take my car in for balancing n alignment at every service interval smile.gif

For me I use paddle shift more often in D. Most often I come across really super slow cars hogging the road so i summon the vtec power by shifting down immediately to overtake XD

I accidentally rev to the red line before when in S mode sweat.gif But I think they got some rev cut mechanism to protect the engine because it never went up the red line when I was pretty damn sure it should have.

Just wondering, what is the mileage for you guys now? My car is 11 months old and 19,000 km.
*
Mine after 9 months just over 8k on the clock.

Was trying the RON97 from Shell and the lowest FC I got from it after using it for months is 308km per tank (when the yellow light came up) then after that I switch to RON95 and after 3-4 times I pump I'm happy to see the FC went up to 340km per full tank haha biggrin.gif Driving almost 80% city and sometimes heavy foot haha.

Oh yeah any of you guys realize any funny sound coming from your suspension if u go over a sudden bump on the road? I'm getting this 'ka-tong' sound when I go over those bumps doh.gif I get another type of sound when I corner then suddenly the road uneven and suspension gives out another type of sound..like the hinges on the suspension got no WD-40 sprayed then it gives out a 'nyek' sound shakehead.gif

my car is having a the "weird sound, like nyek nyek nyk", problem.  Am now at the SC, they said they cant find what the problem is.  said i need to leave my car for about 1 week for them to do the diagonise.  but i nd to wait for about 1 month for to use the standby car, else i have no car to use.

fingers crossed.
*
Do post the outcome of the diagnosis bro. I'm getting those weird noise too and I cannot tell where is it coming from exactly but I think it might be from the suspension setup and I seriously hope its not the chasis problem.
