Hi guys, I wish to get a car holder so that it will easier for me when i using GPS navigation in my car. But where is the most suitable place i should put my car holder at the windscreen? Top, bottom, left or right?

Will the heat damage the nokia 5800 xm since the it directly exposed to SUN?

Anyone of u guys using car holder? Please advise....

i put it bottom right, near to the dashboard beside steering... that place kinda strategied and won't block our view

But will it direct expose to the Sunlight? Will the heat damage the phone?

sometime it will exposed to sunlight but use it only navigation and important routing... the bottom right kinda nice place for me cause it blocked sunlight from the right side by the car body

okay. now heres a crisis for me. today i went to a kiosk near my place, where he promised me the alleged "nokia 5800 navigation edition chrome cased". he took out the box(blue coloured nokia box which only state "nokia 5800 Xpress Music") to me, no where i could find the word "navigation edition". i opened the box, the phone i have in front of me is a black cased, red middle casing and patterned back nokia 5800(navi or not, i have no idea). secondly, i chcked the accessories in the end, evrything stated was in there, but a few items isnt wrapped in plastic bags, just bare. so is that phone nokia 5800 navigation edition? as i have received information that navi only comes with either black or chrome, and black middle casing only, with a back that isnt patterned. i`m confused. =(

edit : the apparent staff kept on insisting that the model in front of me is a navi, and the "chrome cased", is called black. not silver/chrome or etc.

Lucky u smart. Black is black, Chrome is chrome not Black aka Chrome

last time when Nokia 5800 XM was launch it was

Red and Blue first
Then Black
Then Chrome

so does it mean that the 5800 navi is also available in red and blue as well?

No...Navi model do not have red and blue..

well the strange thing is, i asked clareeen.
she said currently, chrome is still not available. only silver black, black red or black blue.
i`m even more so confused now. i thought navi only comes with black and chrome? ???

Those 3 colors are normal XM..must've some mis-communication somewhere here

well as of now, i`m rechecking with her/him. and about nokia 5800 navi, evry kiosk i go to, confuses it with the normal xm. =(

EDIT : CLareen states that the other colours are also available for 5800 navigation edition. i`m very confused now.

It should be only chrome and black. I'm confused now too

From my understand all models of nokia 5800XM comes with free navigation on ovi maps already different is navigation edition is in chrome and free car holder.

navigation edition has its own color, not just the card holder and car charger.

eventhough the normal xm now have the free OVI maps. i`m still displeased that they promised me the chrome, and navi. and they give me a normal xm. the only stand point they gave was its free license for the maps. customer service nowadays...

The maps its already free for everyone. Even my 1 1/2years old 5800XM also got free navigation just need to update our ovi maps to the latest version.

Remember navigation edition comes with car holder and its chrome.
