Thanks for the info, Xploit Machine. BTW, after i dig some research, i finally got it...The OVI map v3.04 does not show the signal bar. It all represent by the red dot. As long as the red dot shows red color, it meant you are locked up the satellite.... =)
*
yeah, for Ovi Map v3.04, the signal bar is removed and represent by the red dot. If the red dot is dim in colour, mean it's still looking for signal, and once it's locked, the red dot will become bright colour.

the difference between v3.03 and v3.04 is the performance, when u zooming in or out, the graphic is smoother while v3.03 is slightly lag during zoom progress... thumbup.gif

i have another question about the GPS. Currently, i enable the GPS and A-GPS. But i set the postioning method to be 'always ask'. So everytime i search my location or use navigation, it will prompt me saying that 'Connection to network positioning server required.  Costs may be incurred', but normally i click no and i still can get my position and use the drive navigation.

So once i clicked 'no', is that meant i'm not using the A-GPS?...bit confused...
*
for ur case, u have set the Positioning Method to 'Always ask' and enabled A-GPS and I-GPS.
when u start the Ovi Maps, it will ask for connection for A-GPS, if u choose Yes, then you are using A-GPS and being charged.
meanwhile if you choose No, then it will maintain offline mode which only using I-GPS...

you mention that u choosen 'No' but still manage to lock because previously your phone is locked to satellite few minutes ago, where the positioning data is still valid, that's why your phone can lock to the satellite fast.

after few hours, maybe next day, your phone will need to take few minutes to lock into new satellite...

Actually the logic is the satelittes are orbiting earth thousand of them up there. What's moving are not the satelittes its earth itself 1 circle in 24 hours.
Thats why the satelitte locations are always the same but there just too many of them so a-gps only gives u location near your telco antenna

The purpose of Assist GPS aka (A-gps) It provides the locations of this satelitte within your location to reduce lock time.

Without A-gps the module using Intergrated (I-gps) must be strong and fast enough to locate the satelittes.

Per lock is usually 10cent but what da hell u no need to wait forever to start using it
*
for my case, i prefer integrated gps. i always search for the location 1st then start the navigation and put the phone on the windscreen, while you were driving, it will lock to satellite itself, and you are ready to go... certain people out there is a student, and save 10 cent for each navigation is a lot for them, try bundle it for 1 month it's already more than few buck... whistling.gif

U go treat your friends or gf a meal also cost more than few bucks. The funny part people willing to spend RM700 to few thousand for a phone. But to spend 10cent for a day for 1 month only RM3.10 X 12 months only RM37.20 tats if u use it EVERYDAY.

Then u use your money to call your girlfriends also cost like RM 30 - RM40 a month what's RM3.10 a month? hehe cute le

be patient bro... doesn't need a clear calculation here... just to give them some clear explaination is enough... haha thumbup.gif relax relax... laugh.gif

which CFW u used?
is okay...
i've got back the setting...
is not supported?.. dude go check it first..
h.264 is much more better compared to mpeg4 and xvid
*
i use this phone since v31, and it can't play h.264 since that... it's supposedly to play h.264 format by default, maybe previous firmware allow that... someone need to confirm this, cause i convert to h.264 and the video is unplayable
