Finally there is an update for V28.

Its been so long. But lately the threads been slowing down very much

Remember TS being a TS u need keep maintain and update not just become a TS or else the thread will die very fast

Congratulations for the new TS. HOpe to see this thread grow like back then.

For me as well garmin is the best option for its up to date maps. I already learn a lesson using non up to date maps it brought me in circle until i was late for my event.


The best nokia phone playback currently is Nokia N900 it can play most format even including Divx videos without conversion or lag. It says MKV and RMVB works too but requires some hack with x-terminal

Actually the logic is the satelittes are orbiting earth thousand of them up there. What's moving are not the satelittes its earth itself 1 circle in 24 hours.
Thats why the satelitte locations are always the same but there just too many of them so a-gps only gives u location near your telco antenna

The purpose of Assist GPS aka (A-gps) It provides the locations of this satelitte within your location to reduce lock time.

Without A-gps the module using Intergrated (I-gps) must be strong and fast enough to locate the satelittes.

Per lock is usually 10cent but what da hell u no need to wait forever to start using it

Actually with clear sky no need even 1mins
It takes only about 2-6sec to instantly get a lock with a-gps. If u are rushing what is 10cent?

U go treat your friends or gf a meal also cost more than few bucks. The funny part people willing to spend RM700 to few thousand for a phone. But to spend 10cent for a day for 1 month only RM3.10 X 12 months only RM37.20 tats if u use it EVERYDAY.

Then u use your money to call your girlfriends also cost like RM 30 - RM40 a month what's RM3.10 a month? hehe cute le

For me Nokia 5800XM lock time for me using I-intergrated is very slow. Sometimes can reach up to 5mins and under tinted can take forever

Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800XM doesnt work well with tinted glass. My 5800XM even get a lock it will have delay delay like after i turn left 20 sec later only ask me turn left.

only phone got amaze that doesnt get affected by tinted is nokia n900. I also got shocked myself. Without a-gps usually 2mins get a lock. Ppl tell u get a lock in 1min usually is warm start. Cold start Nokia 5800XM can never get a lock in 1min.

I know i bought 5800XM and then N97 both time i cant use GPS. Then when i wanna use i need lower down all my windows 4 sides. Somemore my tinted are V-cool.

Because for you guys info Nokia 5800XM gps setting as default

A-gps is ON
GPS is ON

and NETWORK GPS is ON
so maybe they forget to turn it off

Very good but drink your credit like water. If u have unlimited data plan use network gps very stable lock even go thru tunnel still can use

MFM more detail in west malaysia

BMW 530 - Normal tinted slow lock time only but works
Perodua MYVI - V-cool tinted custom - Cant lock at all
Proton Persona - Free tinted - Can lock but always delay delay

U want clearer take off the back cover. For that price tag and when this phone was launch its features and touchscreen its on the cheapest in the market

Added on June 15, 2010, 11:14 ami quite annoying with my 5800XM battery indicator or battery life

Suddenly 4 bars can drop to 1bars then without warning can suddenly turn off one because battery flat.
