My dad is quite rude...Each day his phone would fall few times(bt not everyday la)
And he wants to get a touch screen phone
So Can he use Nokia 5800?

Not encourage. Since this is touch screen phone. the screen may easier to crack and problematic compared with non touch screen phone.

what the above forumer said is true. Touchscreen phone everything is on the screen when non touchscreen phone the keypad can substaine drops and falls

I have updated, but i can't feel any difference. Anyone has updated, please share what's your experience on this new version...

I thought 5800 is strong as steel?

It does feel solid but not ENTIRELY solid. The digitizers are quite fragile btw. Dont believe? throw your 5800 on a concrete floor.

Even if as strong as steel, if you drop it several time, will also dent a bit.

I still remember my friend dropped his Nokia 3230 from 4th floor years ago. Only the housing was damage. After replacing the cheapo housing, it worked just like new.

But I don't think my 5800 can survive that.

I have Epikcase with my 5800 since I bought last year. It work very well to protect it. My kids hold & drop on floor also no problem. Well, just luckily side down & not on the screen on any edge la...touch wood...

Drop down? Care to avoid hitting the bottom. ( thats where the antenna is )

Not really true, my 5800 flew from my desk to the floor few months ago, the housing seems to be abit loose now, small plastic piece came out from the case too... ouch

As long you didnt activate aGPS, its fine.

and make sure Ovi Maps is running in offline mode...
Settings > Internet > Connection > Offline

if run offline mode, it will use as a gps? it will move like garmin?

the antenna at the bottom? i thought is at the back b4 i try to block the back part and signal lost..
