I just cut off the tweeter guard on my M3300, the results is very good. The high is a lot more detailed, less distorted and more relaxed, overall is much more focus and won't hurt my ear. This guard actually protect tweeter from damage, also prevent people vandalize it like those unprotected demo speakers in Lowyat Plaza

So if you at home and no other people with itchy hand, you can cut it off to get better sound quality.

hey, bro still rmb me? i bought c3 instead of r1900tiii, lolz.... coz do more satisfy with c3 than rt1900t3...
but i do more enjoy surrounding effect in music listening, as i currently combo c3 n x600, it sound more nice than c3 alone, especailly play in lower vol

I can give this idea a try. Will try them tonight. But are there any significant different before and after you remove the protective guard?

For me i did hear difference easily after i remove the guard, most easily to hear is you find songs with a lot high frequencies one like guitar and higher tone vocals.

No lah...its still the stock one, i changed the resistors to metal film resistors.

Yup the blue stuff, is metal film resistors. I just done a small test see whether it has big difference or not. And the result is that 4 resistors does quite an audible difference, improvement is there.

Now rolling OPA2604...an interesting op amp to me. Edifier speakers does have great potential to get me notice some small changes.

Do some resistor mod experiment for whole day, didn't fully change all but 98% was changed.
