what happen to Nikki Ahamed and Liam Bridcutt? i thought they do fine hmm.gif

did anyone heard about Gokhan Tore? he's another promising youngster from the academy. there's something in common between him and Mesut Oezil. both are Turkish and born in Germany thumbup.gif he got pace, perfect dribbling skills and a very good finisher. and he's only 18. i dont want him to end up like Stoch...

i think they are moving to PJ. are you a regular there too? its been a while since i last went to the club house. lol.

My last time at Modesto was CL final vs Man Utd. It's a little too far for me to go all the way there alone. >_< If they moving to PJ, great news! biggrin.gif

Kaka for Ashley Cole+cash?

Kaka for Frank Lampard?

hmm...

i hate chelsea but if they can bring Kaka to spice BPL a bit i say go!
*
i'd rather keep ashley and lampard than get kaka. he isnt at his prime anymore and gets injured every now and then.

who needs kaka when you have a midfielder scoring 26 goals and 19 assist.

yeap. josh would be the best lad to replace lampsy. the current crop of first team players are setting a very high standard for the youngsters. i just hope they are up to it.

looks like benny hasnt got a number yet looking at his training kit at cobham.

quite a number of first teamers are already in the training ground raring to go for next season it seems!

MyChelsea should be moving to e-Curve (or is it still Cineleisure). Modesto's new branch will be opening there soon.

well apparently they weren't highly rated by our coaching staff. that's fine by me as long as we keep the rare gems, and start integrating them gradually. who needs ozil when u have toooorrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (probably what i'll be saying if we fail to snag the former tongue.gif )

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has flown to South Africa to try to complete the signing of Fernando Torres, with sources telling Soccernet he is willing to pay up to £55 million.

Fernando Torres: On World Cup duty with Spain

Liverpool are believed to value Torres at around £70 million and refused to respond to speculation over his future until they had a new manager in place. Now Roy Hodgson has succeeded Rafa Benitez, he is evaluating the situation regarding five big-name stars at Anfield who are reviewing their own futures.

Torres has made it clear that he is focusing on the World Cup, but with the tournament drawing to a close, talks between all the interested parties are believed to be underway.

Barcelona are also reported to be interested but they are struggling to raise the funds. Torres himself is also unsure he wants to return to Spain at the moment.

A well-placed source told Soccernet: "Abramovich has authorised the bid of £50 million, and he's not expected to go much higher than that ... [but] I would think he might go to £55 million.

"Without any other creditable bidder, he sees no reason to go any higher. It's quite clear that Liverpool could get more from Manchester City, and the player could earn more from Manchester City, but the player doesn't want to go there. He wants Champions League football and the chance to win the major honours which he can do at Chelsea.2

The final cost were Torres to move to Stamford Bridge could top £100 million, as Chelsea will make the striker the highest paid player in the Premier League topping £200,000-a-week with his bonuses. A five-year contract would be worth £50 million to the player.

£40million Fernando Torres bid: Chelsea throw down gauntlet but Liverpool will want more

QUOTE
Chelsea have fired their opening shot in the battle to sign Liverpool's Fernando Torres by lodging a formal bid believed to be in the region of £40million for the Spain striker.

Roman Abramovich is ready to back manager Carlo Ancelotti all the way in his pursuit of his top summer target.
Fernando Torres

And although the Anfield club are likely to demand considerably more for their prized asset, Sportsmail revealed in May that the billionaire owner is ready to part with anything up to £70m for such a 'marquee signing'.

New Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has already admitted he can offer no guarantee that either Torres or skipper Steven Gerrard will be at Anfield next season. And given Liverpool's precarious financial situation, a concerted effort to sign Torres by Chelsea is likely to prove impossible to resist.
Roman Abramovich

Ironically, the striker is currently sweating on his place in Spain's starting line-up for tomorrow's World Cup semi-final against Germany with speculation rife that he i s to be dropped in favour of either Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas or Manchester City new boy David Silva.

Torres yesterday admitted he has not fully recovered from undergoing knee surgery in April.

Ahead of the last-four clash at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium, he said he was 'not at his physical best' after struggling for form since being in South Africa.

The striker has failed to score in Spain's five games so far and added he understands some of the criticism of him and that he has had his share of 'difficult moments'.

Meanwhile, Fabregas insisted he is eager to face the Germans despite suffering pain in his shoulder.

Fabregas revealed he may need a painkilling injection in his right shoulder to play tomorrow.

'It's painful but when you are up for it, it's fine,' he said. 'I am ready to get an injection to play. If Del Bosque needs me I'll be there.'
