well, i do think Jack Rodwell is quite a good player, home grown too. but his price tag is quite high and we'll just be paying for the home grown status. i dont think there is anything very special about Rodwell, i am quite confident that our youngsters are up to par with Rodwell. What he has that our youngsters dont is prem playing time.

why buy another playmaker when CA already have lampard ?

for anelka case, yes he might have announced retirement but footballers can change their mind very often ... like thuram and zidane also come out from retirement to help france qualify for world cup 2012.

Alex has a perfect view of Chelsea's midfield workings unfold during a game and is excited by the prospect of watching another Brazilian.

With the signing of Ramires last week, the centre-back could soon see our new number 7 in the team but despite having never played alongside the young midfielder, he's got a good idea of what to expect.

'I was talking with Jose Bosingwa and we were saying how Ramires is a lot like Michael Essien,' revealed Alex.

'He's not as strong as Essien but he has the same style on the pitch. He goes forward very quickly, then he comes back and marks very well. He is a very good player.'

Alex will appreciate someone who will be as ready to defend as he is attack in Chelsea's midfield.

'It is very important for me and the team that the midfielders go to shoot and arrive at the goal but then get back to mark,' he explained.

'He is almost the same as Michael Essien like that, so I am expecting a lot of goals, it is important for us.

'He will get to play with Michael Essien, John Mikel Obi and Frank Lampard, we have a very good midfield group and he will do a great job for us.'

also, the link above says that Santos just wants us to fulfill the 29.6 million pound buyout clause. they are trying to milk every penny from the lad. forcing him to go on tv to read a script against his wishes! damn it santos! thats slavery! and they claim that we're tapping their player.

Neymar..Nice and good move by our board 25mil..take it or leave it..we cant just buy with buy-out-clause..we must show that we dont spend silly money on any1..we value him 25mil..than 25mil is the max we go..and we dont really need him right now..more on the future approach..

Jack Rodwell..I dont want him yet..maybe after 2 more season..if you want to buy then go get Baxter from Everton...or any talented reserves around EPL club with homegrown status..

For me, no point spending 30 million eventhough he is a wonderkid like what newspaper said. I'd rather save the money to get better facilities for the youngsters in Chelsea. Our squad size is just nice and we got enough strikers, even backup.

i think 5 million differ not be a problem for Abramovic for Neymar talent. He's really good. Quick, strong, and remind me of FAT RONALDO.

i seriously hope the players dont get too upset about the paycuts. i also think its better to control our finances rather than giving bonuses for every game. win the championships then earn your bonuses.

instead of getting upset i hope the players will be motivated to win the titles.
