i did timelapse using tethered shooting mode. eos utility or something (supplied by canon) of me fixing jigsaw puzzle.

it was 400D cam somemore...

i using 450D, wish to buy a new memory card 16G

i found that the model is some kind of SDHC

450D only accept SDHC or other normal SD card like extreme or else?

CL2, CL6 and CL10 is regarding about the speed?

haha, indeed i'm really new.. at least to DSLR, alrite then, i will go bb plaza check out the price there.. but the 3.1k comes with bag, memory card, tripod everything?
one more Q, if i own a Lumix FZ-28, is there a need to upgrade to DSLR?

CL2,6,10 indicate the card writing speed, yo 450D use CL2 more than enough.

if u think yo lumi can't satisfy yo need then go ahead upgrade to DSLR. You can go KLCC Canon concept store & test them out to make up yo mind.

ooo, then 450D can fit other non -"SDHC" memory card, i means like normal SD card with the wording "Extreme"

Speed does play a role. Get class 4 or even 6 if you burst your shutter.
Anyway...just let us know which card you want to buy and we'll tell you ok not not

if use for normal shooting cl2 is ok .
i found myself at least need at least 15mbps for 450D if u covering event and want to view ur picture instantly.
every second is crucial.

Nonid 3 mins so short oso. For my 5D2 at 1080p oso can do about 12 minutes per 4gb limit. The lower reso cams will probably do at least 15 minutes per 4gb.





The Extreme word is there for Extreme advertising only. What u need to look at is the read n write speeds.

just now go buy giant battery so funny man after using it.
fresh from newly packed batt , full power nissin di622 need 8 sec recharge
then shoot 40-50 photos using TTL like that the batt full power recharge need 15 secs already

the read and write speed is important for these factors

1) Write speed important for getting the pics from your camera buffer into your card so that your camera buffer can be cleared FAST. If your card is slow, be prepared to wait for the buffer to clear until you can SPAM the shutter again. (takes as long as 2+min during one of the tests I did. Google LYN for mynick I guess..

2) Read speed when tranferring your data from your card to your PC. You're now limited to USB2.0 USB speed of 480mbps which is MAX theoretical 60mb/s, but you will average ~max 30mb/s. Hence, that speed is also important so you don't have to wait long long for the pics to finish copy to your HD.
