Only way you can keep track of your data count is by using the "Personal Data Plan" widget.
If you guys want a true unlimited dataplan, change to instead.RM58 for 3GB plan and after you reach 3GB your data plan will be downgraded to 2.5G(EDGE).Good thing is you don't have to pay extra but the bad thing is digi 3G receptions sucks.

AP is ORI

The one you buy from Nokia Shop is "Authorised" or "Official" set for sale IN Malaysia.
Just like when you buy your PS3, Wii, PSP, etc. You buy your PS from SONY is "Authorised" or "Official" set for sale IN Malaysia. You buy from other shop which maybe Japan set, UK Set, etc.

So, do you understand now? All is original, so no worries about Ovi Store, Firmware Updates, etc.

The main difference is the LOCAL SUPPORT from the Company and Warranty.

I exceed once too when on 500MB package, I upload many videos and watch many YouTube videos. Since I didn't reset my Data Plan widget, I kinda lost count on it and worst of all, I call up Maxis and they don't have the function to check my current data usage or whether I have exceeded the limit. Worrying my bill, I "finally" read up the Terms and Conditions or information about their data plan, and I saw that:
1. for Prepaid, it will "cut off" the usage when exceed the limit, while for Postpaid it will continue to allow you to use and charge you.
2. Then I saw this, there is a MAXIMUM charge limit when you exceed the data plan subscribe. The maximum they will charge you is additional RM250 no matter how much you use after you have exceeded the plan. I call up Maxis to verify. Once verify, I use the data "kao kao" for that Month.

Now I have switch to 3GB data plan for RM88. No need to worry about uploading videos, watching videos in FB or YouTube, etc.

By the way, it's much much more worth it to subscribe to data plan.

Normal usage is 1cent per KB.
1MB = 1024KB = RM10.24?
5MB = 5120KB = RM51.20?
** There're however off peak rates

500MB data plan = RM58

So, calculate yourself whether subscribe to plan is worth it. My first time use this phone, I've accidentally used up 5MB. Then I quickly subscribe to 500MB data plan.

actually not only maxis. Different telco got different way to make extra from consumer

Maxis
Confusing bills with extra charges
No notification of additional data charges

Digi
Enter voice mail immediately without the chance to end the call
Bad phone call reception or quality

Celcom
Bad customer support

All is same, just a matter of which is worst.

Sorry but in my personal opinion, DiGi is actually worst as they have many "hidden" terms or unclear terms; If you found out late, it's your mistake not theirs as they have stated in their terms. So who is more cunning?

Remember previously there some an advertisement by DiGi on Radio, then at the last part you can hear "Terms & Conditions apply".
Later, there was an advertisement by Maxis, offering same or better (can't remember) deal and in the end it says something like "NO terms and conditions". LMAO, like totally directly obviously shooting DiGi's advertisement. And best part is, there was at least more than once, the advertisement it put one after another.

Recent DiGi's iPhone plan I was kind of impress with it's plan, just need to subscribe ALL-IN-ONE RM108 for 2 + 1 year (3 Year) you can get iPhone 3GS 16GB? But later, I was told by my friend it's not like this, he also thought so at first but after he went to inquire, the ugly details come out. Seems on the third year, you don't pay RM108 only, you have to pay for the phone installment as well??? Not really sure what he mean, but what he told me is that the third year, you will be paying more than RM108. It's kind pay later scheme, while Maxis is pay first scheme?
Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Earlier this year, Nokia revealed that the Maemo OS was being shelved in favour of MeeGo, a merging of Maemo and Intel’s Moblin. We’ve been waiting for the first MeeGo device ever since, and Intel now says it’ll appear before the end of the year.

Pankaj Kedia, Intel’s Director of Global Ecosystem Programs told Pocket Lint that the first MeeGo phone would appear before the end of the year. Here are his actual words –

“You will see MeeGo Moorestown devices by the end of 2010,” so not only will this device feature a new operating system, it’ll be powered by Intel’s new chip too, which claims to offer up to 10 days of battery life thanks to intelligent power consumptions tech. This device will almost certainly be a Nokia phone – the MeeGo project is the result of a partnership between the two tech giants.

Nokia is yet to confirm this date though, suggesting that Kedia may have been talking out of turn. It couldn’t come soon enough, as far as we’re concerned. The latest reports of Nokia’s new Symbian^3 operating system suggest that it’s a disappointment when placed next to smartphone rivals such as Android and iPhone, so if Nokia’s going to start taking the game of catch-up seriously, it had better start soon.

SOS: http://www.fonehome.co.uk/2010/05/05/first...ear-says-intel/

The last time I had any phone that can last around 7 days was Nokia 6030.If Intel really can pull this off it'll send Apple engineers straight back to drawing board.

Open X-Terminal
1)Type "sudo gainroot" - Assuming you already installed rootsh
2)Type "kernel-config show" - Read the text.Should have max cpu 800MHz & min cpu 250MHz.(not sure about min cpu value though)

Ugh, and I thought things in the Sialcom camp was bad. Here at least they have never charged me TOO ridiculously for overusage, even with the cheapest data plan. On the flipside, things are shitcrap slow (though it does surprise from time to time) and billing errors are rife, oh well.

But Maxis data plans ARE sounding somewhat like American data plans nowadays. Call it the Iphone effect, as the first real data-heavy mass market phone, telcos are restructring data plans around the Iphone, thereby effecting its peers (us included).

And telcos used to be so data blind, especially during the early 3G BB days.

Another reason to flame the diephone lol - kacau people's data munching peace only. What's next, banning data tethering? *gasp*

@arsaa: Which Titan kernel version are you using? Have you installed Kernel-Power-Settings?

The guide up front is for Lehto's kernels BTW. For Lehto the only way to know would be to run a couple of programs and then switch to Conky to see if heavier load = CPU step-up.

At least you guys are enjoying 3G.
I never had chance to try DiGi 3G with this phone cause of lack of coverage.
Only tried Celcom 3G.Quite fast for me.

owh ic....no wonder i can't verify the OC successful or not....Conky only show base on the CPU load after many program run at one time....

I'm installing the Enhanced kernel for power users (settings) now!

Do I need to install the Enhanced linux kernel for power users as well?

thanks!
