Glad to hear this.. But at the same time sad news for me.. Cuz its less likely that I'm going to get such exclusive goodies.. I think have to wait for FFVersus which I fear even more.. I dun think the stock will last after an hour of its release.. Worst thing is every good thing goes only to EU region.. NA has less of it and does not looks as saucy..

I think the R1 CE is the 2nd best option since it has everything minus the t-shirt only IIRC. So best to grab that. The only one left that's not announced is the R3 CE. Hopefully they have a controller bundle or something like last time.

Yea.. awaiting for R3 CE.. But I will still get R2 cuz I'd had had all SE product under R2 region...

Wrpgs are unplayable during launch lol. Wait few months for bugfix only playable. This is one reason I prefer jrpgs.

The chances for R3 CE, imo, is low. NA and EU got their CE because they have market there. In ASIA, main market is Japan, that's pretty much it. That's why even for first FFXIII, the release was so much later than NA.

I wouldn't really say that. Indeed the R3 version came out much later, especially for the copy with Japanese Dub with English Subtitles which surprised a lot of people. But this time they already announced beforehand that there'll be the same Japanese Dub with English Subtitles that's going to come out for R3 so I think there'll be a CE also.

And another thing is, in Asia, PS3 dominates the market unlike the 360 in USA. Even in the UK, PS3 has more marketshare. Singapore is one of the big markets. This is from an old article that I read last year or something.

I pretty much agree..Which explains why SE been putting allot of effort on EU but not NA...Part of the reason is because NA is not good when it comes to coping with change as seen in JRPG.. And also not to forget TW, and HK which contributes to the PS3 share... I hope Msia can grow as well.. When that happens.. It will will be good news to all of us.. No more English dubb coming before the chinese or english sub which the asians normally would request for...

Hmm... Well I think the real reason they announced Chinese version this time is because they made a lot of money from it last time. While Chinese version is hugely accepted, their main income must've been export to NA and EU rather than ASIA. And seeing CE is released corresponding to region's performance... You know what I'm about to say.

As for Enix NA, they've always been known for their lack of generosity in CE. If I recall correctly, there wasn't even a CE for FF13 before this (Except for the Xbox 360 bundle). Enix EU, on the other hand, always gives CE. In term of game acceptance, I say they have pretty much the same market. COD and FIFA sold even better at EU, fyi.

I get your point trying to say there are few big markets in ASIA like Singapore. But isn't that means Singapore has a big market in ASIA market rather than ASIA market is huge relative to the world's market?

Sure, as a fan, I hope I'm wrong, but we shall see. But if they do, I thought they would've announce it by now (for pre-ordering purposes and manufacturing planning). If they even bring over the limited edition PS3 for Chinese version, then it's gonna be huge.

XIII, XIII-2, and XIII versus? this is all classic rpg game rite? (single player)

and XIV is online game?

Currently there are only 2 types which are FFXIII and FFXIII2 there is a rumour of FFXIII-3 but we shall wait and see... Though they include FFVersus as FFXIII as well but they are entirely different universe featuring different characters sharing only the same god...However they might change the name to Versus only just like FF XIII Agito to FF type Zero.. And they are not really classic.. The paradigm shift in FFXIII is a pretty new gameplay mechanism as for FFVersus its action RPG something like Kingdoms Heart..

And yea FFXIV is an online RPG..

alright, thanks for the answer, my "classic" here refer to their fighting engine like FF7,8,9 . and yes, i saw the gameplay and square enix did a great job improving the fighting style. i love them!

XIII is fine, guess not going to grab XIV seems it's online games... prefer go for Diablo 3

lol... And the classic I mean is those tittles you mentioned as well.. Even FFX is old school.. The gameplay in FFXIII is far from that though..

FFVersus will be out probably in winter 2012 or early 2013.. Assuming there are no further delay that is..

January 31 2012 for NA and Hong Kong release.

February 2 2012 for AU release.

Kitase on Final Fantasy XIII-2

Just came across this, so we might get a new FF title every 1-2 years but the problem is that they are trying to follow with the likes of an FPS and a Action/Stealth game?

but anyway, i'm waiting for ff10 hd to come out since i didn't play that.

I think they should really sort out their problem in Japan... Seems like the politics in there is consuming the company... The only thing that save them is that they were smart enough or very much a risk taker to have bought up other companies and help thm publish their games... But if they learn more from Eidos Montreal... Hire some quality people to write scenarios and stories... Then one and a half year will not be a problem to them..

Yea... I am waiting for FF10 HD or remake or whatever... Hope its the international edition though...

hopefully they improve the graphics,gameplay and storytelling each year if they planning on doing like that...
