Yet his ego of having believed he is always right and he knows more than others could have prevented him to admit that he is wrong. It hurts too much to proven wrong again.
Try use nicer words to correct others, try not to use words like "not true" or "nonsense again", ...unless you are very certain to be correct.

No need so Langsi...even if you know a lot. At one time I did proved him wrong when he said I watched too much TV about people stealing one cent from Bank accounts. I was working on the Banking system then for a new system to prevent this fraud and talk to the the banking people behind what's the story. There was even a movie made about the "1 cent thief".

Share info, everyone appreciates, calling everything else nonsense or other people stupid(reference to another person) is uncalled for.

I only know one thing for certain. NOBODY CAN KNOW EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE. 😝

It's true Maybank and comb Sg is under MAS jurisdiction and not under BNM. So as long as MAS continue to allow Malaysian to open account via Maybank and CIMB from Malaysia side, no issue. Only if MAS said no then both banks have to comply.

Of course most people here know BNM has no juridiction over Spore banks in Spore...only MAS does.
Btw, Does MAS have the same standard for all banks in Singapore with the same requirements?
Or they hv separate standard or requirement for different banks?

Like services offered & branch / machine numbers / location.... Normally it's like this most places / countries....

didn't go through the details... usually these kind of MAS requirements are related to regulatory compliance and exemption... what banks can/cannot do, what to report, how much reserves, etc...

number of machines / branches / etc... usually is determined by market factors... naturally more local ppl support their local banks > more branches > atms > lower fees, etc... wont discount protectionism for local banks but you'll have to go throught the details to compare

i did try to check if myinfo/singpass is mandatory for local bank account opening but didn't find much info... mas guidelines just say if don't have myinfo/singpass banks can do other form of kyc... i guess most local bank just keep it simple, no singpass no account... but i do know if you bring enough cash most bank will help you find something... example bro Ramjade open a very specific dbs my account... not the regular local savings account...
