Well, some problem do need to inform them for them to know what the problem is...and my friend AW M11x also suffers the hinge problem and already contacted Dell a few times regarding this nod.gif...Yet no answer yet from Dell because they said got no such problem with the unit and it was caused by the user...so my friend did sent a link to them where various problem of hinge in the Net is revealed...

Also want this problem to be clarified and so my friend will stop bugging me laugh.gif...

youll be better off buyin
you need to change the mobo, which will cost around 70% of the laptop price + upgrade prices for the processor. The Dell person who handled my case advised against it since you'll be better off buying a new one.

I am however was offered discounts if i want to do that, since my M11X had been problematic. They say they can takeaway my current M11X and sell me a new M11X with the new proc for a nice price. I'm gonna wait for the support person to get back to me on that matter.

rclxms.gif Better insist on at least 80-90% discount since ur like trading in ur old laptop. Some even get 100% refund from their original price and use the amount to purchase a new laptop. Don't let those support talk u into paying more than what ur suppose to. If ur laptop is less than 1 month then u must insist on 100% refund. If more than 6 months then it will depend on their rate of tear and wear percentage. Anyway no matter how, u still got the right to insist on a full refund as the laptop is giving u problems and not coz u wanna change to a different laptop. Make your point clear and they will try to sort you out. Again don't let those so called "smart" help support people talk u into paying more than what ur suppose to.
