QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ May 28 2010, 10:56 PM) err... the file I downloaded contains a virus~ HUH? The links there goes to: 1. Directly on Dell Support page. 2. A freeware to change alogon screen on 7. Probably just a false alarm on your anti virus. What are you using?

Hello, got a new one. New Month, New Issue. QUOTE Emino| M11x | Dust got into LCD | Dell Replaced the LCD | March 2010 Emino| M11x | Faulty HD | Dell Replaced the HD | April 2010 Emino| M11x | Faulty HD | Dell Replaced the HD | May 2010 Emino| M11x | Faulty Bluetooth | Dell will come to replace the Bluetooth | June 2010 They did offer me HUGE discount (the operator will get back to me on this) if I choose to upgrade (buy new one, and send this one back to them) to the new M11X since I have lots of issues. They said the current M11X is not upgradeable to the new processor, unless you change the mobo, but the price will not worth it. This post has been edited by emino: Jun 8 2010, 11:12 AM

QUOTE(wilsonjay @ Jun 8 2010, 08:29 PM) hmmm...if we current users could upgrade and upgrading from C2D to i7 doesnt cost more than 1k then ill consider.. youll be better off buyin you need to change the mobo, which will cost around 70% of the laptop price + upgrade prices for the processor. The Dell person who handled my case advised against it since you'll be better off buying a new one. I am however was offered discounts if i want to do that, since my M11X had been problematic. They say they can takeaway my current M11X and sell me a new M11X with the new proc for a nice price. I'm gonna wait for the support person to get back to me on that matter.

QUOTE(ff8ong @ Jun 10 2010, 10:46 PM) So thats what dell reply to you? How you get contact with them? Dude, my machine had 4 cases of parts replacements in 4 months, since I bought it 4 months ago. Clearly something was wrong. Lets see whether it gets approved or not first. Although, I do expect the price to maybe jumps to 1.5k. I dunno, we'll see..

QUOTE Dear En Muhaimin, The internal management has approved for this as one time special arrangement. Therefore, if you’ve confirm the spec, I will get the quotation from the sales division If you have any concern pls let me know Thank you Although, sad to say from the response, it looks like normal trade in case is not really an option. QUOTE(lk_chin @ Jun 16 2010, 10:55 AM) i encounter some weird sound from my laptop as well ..anyone encounter this problem before ? is not a fans sound, but my friend told me it might be a hard disk sound , sound , gik,gik..,gik..,gik..... its sounded like HDD reading sound , is that normal ? i not sure what is that sound but the previous laptop dont have this kind of sound before, seem like dell QC got some problem @@ Call Dell support. They will guide you to do a built in HD test. If that failed, they will definitely send someone to replace with new HD. FYI, I have 2 HD replaced on my M11X within 3 months of buying it.

Price is RM4010.....i m looking forward to my m11x.....now i m thinking what gaming mice to be purchased.....personally i m quite like Razer Orochi....but there are some ppl claim tat there is some problem with Orochi pairing with m11x....anyone can give some recommendation... Top up some more for 3 years complete cover. The price is almost half than if you wish to buy them later on, and based on recent quality of Alienware, I think its a value buy. Not really gaming mice: but dell small bluetooth mouse is a great companion for M11X. Its only RM69 too. This post has been edited by emino: Jun 16 2010, 11:32 AM

Just finalized my deal with Dell. My new M11X with Core i7 will arrive within 2 weeks time. A week after that someone will come to pick up my old M11X. They give me 1 week for backups. Really thankful to the support officer who helped me till the end of the process.

QUOTE(teikwing @ Jun 16 2010, 09:40 PM) been pairing Orochi with my M11x for almost 3 months. wasn't quite comfortable with the size ever since i bought it but got used to it after some long hours with it every day. wired+wireless mouse do make it kinda a nice portable gaming mouse. the caveat would be the size though. anyway, if you're a palm user and do prefer bigger mouse, go for Mamba. so the top up remained at 1k? that's a great offer you got yourself there. 1.1 something. Including delivery charge and all. But still, yes, very great deal.
