Btw, how to get those fancy alienware log on screen/avatars? (since mine is refurbished set, so have to install the windows 7 via the provided disc)

Anyone has this screen flickering issue for m15x? sad.gif

Added on June 8, 2010, 9:34 amOk, just found the culprit = the default refresh screen setting is at 59Hz zzzzzzzz. U need to set it to 60Hz.

hmm, any m15x user here?

How come the screen refresh rate cannot be set to 60Hz? Is it normal? Because my screen is flickering randomly..

Do u force vsync in nvidia control panel? Because i need to force it on to reduce the flickering issue. I mean, if i do not turn it on, it will flickering randomly, sometimes too much. If i do turn it on, the flickering incidents will be significantly less as in its happening once per hour, but still there. sad.gif To make matter worse, my games performing less admirably with the forcing on of the vsync.
I dont like the prospect of having to send my newly arrived laptop. the postage costs is killing me. Im beginning to think of trading it with the refresh m11x.

There is warranty, but Im yet to resort to such method. Gonna try to update to latest bios this week to see if the screen continues to flicker.

If i call the dell to come, what usually would they need? (as in what info they will ask)
How long does it usually takes for dell staff to arrive upon contacting them?
