LM semi MOS2 xw40 Torco TR5 semi xw40 Torco SR-1 fully xw30/40 mix (hopefully didn't miss anything else, just referred back to my records on my phone engine rebuilt on september 2011 mileage was 18000 mileage now is 62000 (SR1 is running for about 12k ady cuz i didn't have time to OCI as it's pending for a valve clearance adjustment/valve cover gasket replacement so 1x SR1 fully, rest of the 6 OCI is splitted between torco TR5 and LM MOS2 semi synthetics This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Dec 16 2013, 02:45 PM |

Anyone know whats the difference between LM TopTec and LM MOS?
I prefer the one that reduces engine noises/friction more?(compared above) And if i am to add the Ceratec..Is it add before engine oil or after engine oil is added? Thanks |

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Dec 16 2013, 07:05 PM) Anyone know whats the difference between LM TopTec and LM MOS? MOS = contains MOS2 additives that is basically nano ceramic particleI prefer the one that reduces engine noises/friction more?(compared above) And if i am to add the Ceratec..Is it add before engine oil or after engine oil is added? Thanks actually, going to LM's website should explain everything. as for ceratec, i think no difference before/after since when you pour everything flows down oil sump/pan and when you start engine everything will mix together |

QUOTE(anarchy2cruo @ Dec 17 2013, 09:55 AM) fuhhhh. the oils i used have well over 220 Celsius flash point, you'll be worrying about gaskets before the oil start to cook... and yes i opened up the valve cover to replace the gasket as it's leaking oil ady (you can see the edges from the picture, heavy stains)then the oils are very good tho. overheat entire time summore. impressive brah. i really wan to use Torco/LM. but sadly my car still in warranty. just done 3rd service at 10k km using caltex fs by proton. only 1st service at 1k km i got chance to use own eo which i brought LM that time. then 2nd & 3rd service not allowed anymore since proton applied new term cannot bring own eo anymore. and yeah, after 10 laps or so the engine is basically in overheating mode but still managed by (basically just under the red line on the temperature meter lolz) the transmission was in a worse state as the clutch is slipping already as the ATF overheated that's what you get pushing stock standard engine/transmission/cooling system |
