kelisa wont be good if using fully syn??who told u that??kinda funny actually...

unless your engine is already got a problem like LEAKING, piston ring is wore, oil seal is leaking, than it will happen..again, that is not the oil factor...is the engine itself has to be repair...

Thin oil ma...haha, thts y I wanna ask for feedbacks oso. Cuz many mechanic say no need fully syn. Semi is more thn good, some more 10/40 is what they say la. I take good care of my engine. Just did some repairs on the engine leakage a few months back. 700 gone wei... but worth it la. Now its all good and I actually changed my EO to the magnatec. Very smooth sound. But FC a little bit high cuz the guy told me its quite thick.

even your manual saya 10w30...why opt for 10w40??

like i say before, even a CAMRY 2.4 is using 5w30...not to mention Subaru BRZ and Toyota AE86(new one)...0w20...

me also take care of my saga blm....even DIY service(changing engine oil, oil filter, air filter, plug and others)...using 0w30, 10w30, 15w40, 10w40, 5w40, 5w30...sometimes, mineral, semi syn, synthetic blend and fully syn...

the synthetic oil is not create if it cant be use inside an engine...somemore, kelisa is only 850-1000cc only...using 10w40 will (not much, but some) degrade the FC...use 10w30 or 5w30 semi syn or synthetic blend if u really want semi syn...

Hmm hmm...ok la...nxt oil change I go 10/30. Aside from Castrol, what others I should try juicing my car? I am reading all these engine caring threads for cars and got so many kinds of additives n stuff....

Most imitations are way too cheap. Mostly branded as Petronas, Shell & Caltex. Those are the brands common people know.

Boutique brands such as Q8, M7, Amsoil (not Amoil) and Rock Oil are only known to enthusiast. Usually they are more expensive (not always). The probability of these brands to have imitation are very low.

I think they are the main distributor of Q8 & Torco in Malaysia. Located in Sri Damansara. Guys can you chime in, are they the real deal? From my research it seems they are.

Kenapa wo?
Hmmm...I get mixed feedback actually, some say use 10/40 cuz its better for your engine, but coming to the viscosity some say too thick for your engine. Some say 10/30 not good cuz it does not really take care of your car.
*
ive used 10w40 on kelisa..it is good since the oil is like cushioning the vibration from the engine..since kelisa 3 cylinder engine is vibrating a lot..the only drawback is the slower pick up..but not that much la..i changed that oil after 10K km if im not mistaken..

which oil?
btw as megat89 posted above on 3 cylinder engine extra nvh, perhaps consider motul h tech 100 plus xw30? (i omitt the value before w as it's irrelevant if you didn't get it)

very smooth and responsive as well, kinda in between liqui moly's MOS2 and torco's high revving performance, sorta best of both worlds, and pricing is in between too.

as far as i know sir, most top brand engine oil has their own lab...from the lab, they produce all the viscosity grade we seen today...

not like MLM product(except for amsoil) that only HAVE the product, but they never know where it came from(mostly in malaysia)...

price is subjective actually...

because he told me..all their oil formula came from the same company
and he has the letter to prove it(the header)
and that they either reproduce it or develop it further
and he mention 1 thing that came into my mind
which is when u see the bottle
it will either say "made in germany" or "product from germany" which surprise me abit although i know alot
