Liqui Moly is not on par as castrol fyi.
thats y u dont see this brand join either drag,GT even and etc, workshop also hardly used it, even sparepart shop rarely take this brand.

+ liqui moly 10w40 is API SL
even shell and petronas upgraded to SM already

120 - 280?

And I just so happen to come across this. Fact :

In Germany :
Castrol advertising No.1
Liqui Moly quality No. 1
Castrol quality IDK
Liqui Moly quality, not to be asked.

Thanks xphr34k for the review

Through my experience, there is a reason I sell liqui moly's MOS2 Semi Synthetic Oils and Qmax Fully Synthetic oils, not Liqui Moly's Fully Synthetic nor Qmax's Semi Synthetic. And for that matter, I sell no other brands of oils

in a glance, i thought as higher piston deposits for sm.
but after studying it . i think it meant less piston deposits. .

which also means, sl oils has anti-wear protection...

i read it differently last nite. and for that i stand corrected, and i apologize.

looks like SM is far better than SL.

do the SM and SL saparately.. because SL on that picture 'bertindih' with SM at the back..

SM is great

if im not mistaken.. oxidation mean that how hard the oil from yellow to turn black

Just wanna get to know more about engine oil. rclxms.gif

Previously I was using Mobil Super 2000 10w-40 on my LMST.
Quite smooth for the engine. thumbup.gif

But that was before I switched to service at Proton Edar SC due to some maintenance need to be done at SC.
Then, Petronas Syntium 800 10w-40, previously was 15w-50. But they told me that 15w-50 was replaced by 10w-40.

And now I'm thinking of switching to Shell Helix HX7 10w-40. Any advice? icon_rolleyes.gif

Last 3 weeks I changed my engine oil (was on Idemitsu 10-40 semi) to Voltronic 10-40 (semi as well, but SM grade). Took it for a long drive from Penang to Kuala Trengganu a few days later. I must say, the engine was much smoother, Rev's easier and much quieter.

On a stretch of good road towards Merang, I was doing 100 and I didn't even know it! So this oil is going into my books for sure.

Fuel consumption remained the same. 6.7l/100km. Did 827km on 55 liters ferrying 4 persons and a boot full of dive gears.

Castrol 10-60 .........all fluids changed annually regardless of mileage for 1997 CBU Nissan Sentra B14 with GA16DE engine.

With regards to the extreme nature (ok maybe not Sahara desert extreme) I have never found a need to use the 0 grade oils.

Why cant the market bring in more 10-60 grade to bring the price down ?

Sorry, I am impartial to Castrol because from a price = performance stand point......nothing comes close. I tested the the big brands and always fell back to Castrol. Worst experience I had was with @hell EO's in the C22s (mineral), Sentras (Semi Syn) and Merc's (full Syn). Got brainwashed by salesman (weak because of the overtimes) Burnt one of the C22 engines. In the Sentra I could hear piston slap.

No I dun work for petrochem industry or own any business related to petrocheimicals. I service all the petrochemical factories based here in Malaysia only (worker bee).
