QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jun 20 2011, 09:05 PM) I've used Mobil 1, Shell, Motul, Torco and some other crap oils. If you ask me, Torco SR-1 is the best I've used so far. No doubt it's expensive but your car really feels lighter and smoother acceleration. Mobil 1 is good as well but Shell is hopeless among these 3. Yup torco is among the best oil.. u never try ENEOS right |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Jun 25 2011, 09:37 AM) Motul turns the oil darker in very short mileage. Compared with my Nissan C22 van using voltronic 15-40W semi syn, already hit 2000km mileage yet yellowish. turn darker fast but how about performance wise? maybe the grade is not suitable.please bear in mind.. motul is among the top ranking oil in the world..+ join gt Japan last week. same class as redline,eneos,torco,q8,lucas,royal purple.. |

QUOTE(pedro @ Jul 2 2011, 08:05 PM) Torco is the best I have tried yet,its the only one that can last me 3000km with the same performance.Others lasts only 1000km before I can feel a major loss in performance. Pedro, yup for know torco is the best performance oil. But eneos sustina have beaten torco, exceed api SN. the price is ~ rm300 |

API 'SM' oils are designed to provide improved oxidation resistance, improved deposit protection, better wear protection, and better low-temperature performance over the life of the oil than API 'SL' oils.
copy from other website.. just google it.. find many good answer.. avoid API SL.. SL is introduced in 2001.. now already 2011... |

QUOTE(epyteh @ Jul 4 2011, 11:56 PM) bro gagak, torco SR1 5w30 fully can last for 10,000km as other fully syn oil did? pls clarify me... tq... might consider this as well... =) of course can last for 10,000km.. actually i did heard something from others, if u always drive ur car, u can go for fully oil... make u go less trip to sc and save money... but if u less drive ur car, means do service after a long time... recommend to use semi as if use fully, the interval of servicing might be too long... n the oil stay in the car inside too long not good... i dunno is it true onot but sounds weird for me... |
