Lenovo Y460, i5 430M + ATi HD5650@RM3299, though might be hard to find...
GPU is more important in gaming..

How much does it usually cost to upgrade ur RAM from 2G to 4G for Asus A42JV?

I currently being quoted RM 180 which i think its quite expensive. is there any specific brand i shud ask for?

1 piece 2GB should cost around RM170+

mine upgrade to 4GB, kingmax brand la rm150..

Hey sifus! I'm hunting for a new laptop to be used for basic purposes: Assignments, web surfing, watching videos/movies, listening to music and maybe Skype?

Requirements:
1. Windows 7 Home Premium
2. Intel core i3 and above
3. HDD if possible 500GB
4. Battery life with minimum 4 hours
5. Built-in webcam, bluetooth, wifi etc.
6. 14'' and above

Which of the above mentioned
1. Lenovo G460
2. Aspire 4820TG
3. Acer 4740G
4. Compaq CQ41-209TU
5. Compaq CQ42-189TX

would be more suitable? Budget is less than 2.4k.

Would any HP/Compaq laptop be suitable for me too?

I'm really lost and confused in all this technology things. haha. I'd appreciate your help!

From the list, seems like Acer 4820TG is the best buy ..but iirc, the cheapest you can get 4820TG is RM2599~2699 ...as for battery life :

Acer 4820TG = 8 hours
Acer 4740G = 3~5 hours
Lenovo G460 = 3~4 hours
Compaq CQ41/CQ42 = 2~3 hours

All come with Win7 HP

How much can you adjust your budget?? Well, if can max out till RM2999 then might go for Asus A42Jv (i5 450M + GT335M/GMA), with GMA can max out battery life for maybe 5 hours and so

Not more than 2.8 k preferably It's also because I only need it for basic purposes. Don't need so canggih punya laptop.

Well, with the battery life minimum 4 hours, better take Acer 4820TG
