QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Sep 17 2010, 02:35 PM) No prob... be sure to get the free 2nd and 3rd year warranty (original costs RM299) here: http://www.celebratewithtoshiba.com/ PF T.J, how to get the free warranty, i did ask from toshiba resellers, they mentioned we've to buy it.Grats 1st on the purchase RM2089 seems fine i think one of the benefit of this toshiba T210 is the hard drive impact sensor. but notice that the wireless is 802.11 b/g? no 802.11n, wonder whether it'll have impact on the connectivity. by the way, browsed the net and some complaint abt m101z heat problem. wondering how does T210 performance (compared to m101z's AMD) and also heat. TQ. Added on September 20, 2010, 7:22 pm QUOTE(dagnarus @ Sep 17 2010, 02:24 PM) seems like she already set her sight on that t210. thanks for your feedback though. she would be happy for the 2/3 year warranty. as well as the price tag that i'm getting her 2089 with a free dvd writer hi dagnarus, may i know where u got this price rm2089? outside all quoting rm2299.thanks! @spiderwick, without 802.11n you can't connect to wireless N network, but most networks are G, so 802.11b/g is enough (Unless you are using wireless N at your workplace, or at home.)
As for the range, iirc there's no difference. |

If I'm not mistaken (I din't buy a new Toshiba laptop haha) just go to the website (http://www.celebratewithtoshiba.com), blow out the candles, fill in your particulars then you will be given a code coupon which you can use to get the 2nd & 3rd year local warranty for free. By filling in the particulars, you will also be participating in the grand lucky draw. I haven't got the chance to test whether the codes works or whether it applies to all Toshiba laptops all not, but it should work based on the descriptions i think one of the benefit of this toshiba T210 is the hard drive impact sensor. but notice that the wireless is 802.11 b/g? no 802.11n, wonder whether it'll have impact on the connectivity. by the way, browsed the net and some complaint abt m101z heat problem. wondering how does T210 performance (compared to m101z's AMD) and also heat. Hm, that is without shipping price right? cause iirc its around 5.4K with USPS shipping. The sager N8690 same specs (but if you choose lousier proc, can get cheaper) but the design not as nice... Also no backlit keyboard. |

if you want the complete difference, you should check with the ROG group >>> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1533350/+540
afaik, the g73 if it is using the 5870, might get GSOD (Ati fault) But also i think somebody mention that the new batch of G73 won't have this problem. (Although cooling on the G73 should be better) If i'm not wrong, they both have the same performance |
