On another note, i drove my sis's saga blm to Genting one time. During the downhill, got many times the brake totally won't work. The car still moved downhill without slowing down even after I fully stepped on the brake. I had to swerve to the side to avoid the vehicle in front of me during a couple of the speed bumps. Luckily the road was wide enough with not many cars. I swore to never drive a Saga BLM up there again.

That one is brake overheat, not car problem. Stock brake pad i assume. Please don't simply say is car problem.

Well, the stock brake pad should be better. =D

I've only driven down genting a few of times only, the previous times using the Nissan X-Trail. I always just let the car roll/cruise down using the lower gears without trying to apply too many brakes. But this incident with Saga BLM happened very early, not long after I started going downhill. I don't think I've applied the brake too many times, but I guess i overestimated the potential of Saga's stock brakes.
Bro different cars works differently and have their own respective limitations / limits. Usually stock brake pads are not sufficient enough for downhill abuse. Trust me man... Been driving soo many cars over soo many years already. And plus, not every stock brake pads are the same. Some are pretty good enough and some are just so so and some are just pure shit.
My best advise is, replace the brake pads to a much better pads eg. performance brake pads and you will for sure notice a hell lots of difference.
For example, i drive a Persona with sucky stock brakes and as reported from many of our buddies in here are the same. I myself am a aggressive styled driver and this for sure, is not enough for me. So since i do not want to modify the stock brakes like what i did to my ex myvi with civic vtec disc rotors and caliper brakes, i just replaced the front stock pads to performance type pads like the Trestor Advantage. Why i chose this pads is simple. It is not too expensive and it works at least 50% much more better than stock pads. Other good pads i have used before are like TRON Ceramic metallic and Bendix Metal King Titanium.
Trust me man, its purely because of the stupid stock overpriced brake pads (cost RM200 plus in SC).
