How to make a good shoot on our door flower when with strong wind?
I go for high shuttle speed still unable to recover.
Pls educate me.. Thanks.

me no sipu... but easier if you could attach photos.

It is difficult to shoot flower in windy situation... maybe can try shooting at different time... eg early in the morning or later in the afternoon where usually not too windy.

Cannnot wait until wind stop as time limited

or. get a tripod and a remote shutter.

compose the flowers as a foreground interest subject and then snap!

use a slower shutter speed to blur the movement of the flowers slightly but maintain the background subject...

if u cant shoot in a windy situation, use it to ur advantage.

This is my noobie opinion, wait for sipu to advise.

However, I use (which may not be the correct approach):

1- built in white bounce card on cobra usually to get the catchlight. It is too small to illuminate the subject IMHO. To illuminate subject, maybe a whale-tail bounce card would perform better than the built in cobra bounce card

2- wide diffuser when shooting something close

3- stoffen diffuser when shooting direct flash (fill)

4- bounce towards ceiling

5- direct flash if no wall/ceiling to bounce

6- fill flash + low shutter == slow sync

urmm..i using HDR Merge Pro in CS 5...adjusting to values to make such pic...

It did shows the HDR but I felt too contrast and unnatural ....

thats my purpose of unnatural...

too natural then i feel no point to make it hdr...xD..for me la..i just wan to make something diff..

f1.0, Tilt Shift, 5x Super Macro Close Up, 5-Stop-Image Stabilizer, 10fps Burst Mode, HD Video, 800mm-1200mm Super Telephoto, noise control, used lenses everywhere. I guess this is holding me back whenever I want to jump to others. Anyway once in a blue moon I'll still grab a D300, D700, A700, A200 when there's good deal to test drive and sell back when I'm enough of it.

and I find it hilarious that there are actually sensitive people who think that doing so will gain one something.

But sometimes the comment I felt just too straight away(I know have the rights to speak) .... although you got your point for the criticism but keep having strong comment would since make people unkindly to accept it
