Given the amount of time Sony has compared to Nikon and Canon , I ought to give Sony an applause. They manage to capture most market in the beginner's section , as per given by statistic of Sony Malaysia.

I find the colours of Sony quite unique as compared to the rest.

Let me see.. A850 is around 6k or maybe if u're lucky 5.9k..
CZ2470 is a lil bit cheaper compared to A850 , so its around 5.4k
Total damage would be RM 11.3k

Assuming you're selling off ur A700 w VG and cz 1680 for a total of 2.6k+0.8k+2.1k = 5.5k
You still need another 5.8k! well, at least ur current gears paid half off.. LOL..

LOL... depends on ur budget.. I think the next cheapest would be the Sony 70-300G which is around 2.5 k I think, followed by Tammy 70-200 F2.8 around 3k and sigma 70-200 F2.8 which is around 3.8k?

True true, but the sigma 85 F1.4 price is quite far off from the CZ 85 F1.4 , its nearly double..

It has better minolta colours, or u call that classic colours... and the focusing is faster than the current 75-300...
Well, think about it, the Minolta is like an antique while the sony you could get it off the streets anytime.

SAL 50 F1.4 on A700 is 75mm while on A900 is 50mm

Use ur kit lens.. 18-55mm and turn it to 28mm.. is it wide enough for you?

Well heizad.. Infact the sony F58 is the cheapest among all brands.. I mean, which flash could give u 58 guide no,180 degrees both ways tilting, strobe effect which a pricing of Rm 1.1k. I know Nikon and Canon has it, around 1.6k and 1.5k respectively while how much is sony? 1.1k ...

If you would opt for a cheaper 1, do consider the F42 , its around Rm 750 for a new, bet you could get 2nd hand around 600++
and guess what,all of sony's flash are wireless capable.

Depends.. normal usage of F42 is more than enough, but if u have sufficient cash , just go directly for the F58.. But seriously the F42 works just as great as the F58 =D

For sony its kind of standard.. but nikon's kit lens its 52mm and for canon its 58mm.. but until the end of of the day with all those high end lenses... its 77mm

That lens is quite awesome actually, behind tokina.. F3.5-F4.5 , aperture wider than the sony's,range longer.. =D

Thats why there this shutter speed theory where 1/focal length = the shutter speed u need to compensate shake.

So lets see... 1/500x1.5 = 1/750 s .. not inclusive of SSS.. so ya , 1/500 s should be quite safe since the SSS gives u 3 stops .. which is more than enough =D

Ya but they provides excellent customer service an they have a whole range of alphas. Sometimes people just pay for the quality of the service =D

Retail is one thing.. but if u ask him for the price ,he 'll offer you lower than the retail pricing.
Sony dealers aren't suppose to put price tag lower than retail or Sony might take back the contract.

Never been to zaloon but from what I read , its definitely worth it =)

Im using Maha Imedion 2100MAh and its still working great after nearly 2 years.. and its cheap.. RM 45 for 4 pieces.. =D

I think D3's ISO handling is tuned by Nikon's engineer instead. Sony just make the sensors for them..
But well rest assure Sony is catching up with the technology and the quality...

Sheesh.. he shouldn't had say that.. Ignore him but next time try to buy hoya.. its around the price you bought, the price thats selling outside =D
Keep quite good also actually.. no complains..
