Nothing explicit, just that the burnt skin tone on the right isn't that appealing.

I see that you still can't differentiate between high key shots and distracting burnt skin tone shots. smile.gif

QUOTE(freddy manson @ May 25 2010, 10:29 PM)
^ its okay..
sometimes a beautiful pic is defined by 'the moment'..
no EXIF can challenge that.. overburn, pverexposed, bad compo, unsharp, etc.. doesnt stand a chance against a pic with story..
I would say, composition is important, so does the overall photo elements e.g. exposure, sharpness, color. If you think capturing moments alone would suffice, you might as well just capture moments with Nokia phones. Reason why people upgrade to DSLR? Simple, better color, better sharpness, better exposure and metering, so why discard all these? smile.gif

its just a taste of photography, no wrong or right.

btw, i said highlight, not highkey* =.= they are different thing. and i do know them.

if u wish it, then, 'vikingw2k dont like distracting burnt skin tone shots' tongue.gif so i better avoid those, muahahaha  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

It'll be even nicer if you could rephrase it "ieR doesn't know how to differentiate burnt skin tone shots and nice highlight or whatever, so ieR better avoid these tills ieR could differentiate better in future."

No idea, perhaps someone took it too personal when I'm commenting on ahtsong's shot. No offense ahtsong, but the burnt skin tone is the very first thing that comes into my mind. Second thing is the leg being cut off. My sincere comment smile.gif

c'mon la, he just wanted to share his happiness with all of us here, and you all go and make a ruckus out of it.... *shame on you, tsk tsk tsk* laugh.gif
*
Does that mean that one is not allowed to give genuine comments just because someone is sharing his happiness? Emotions at door please. This is a photography forum. I believe you guys are mature enough on how to differentiate genuine comments rather than getting emotional over one's comment. smile.gif

lol, no la.. coz last time, u comment several ppl picture problem due to the highlight... so i just quote only =.= it seem u straight fire back (it also seem u fire almost anyone the same way)

i see that 'user' do not know how to diff 'issue1' and 'issue2'... isnt that rude too? sad.gif as if u are master, other are useless ppl
*
ah, let's not quote my previous comments and mix up with coming ones. I comment based on what I see now. Nothing related to previous or what and I don't see anything wrong giving genuine comments on what I feel. Yes, you may counter me should you have different opinions, but in a more constructive way and not telling me stuff like "hey, people sharing happiness" or worse going too personal. Doesn't that sound as if I can't comment just because someone is sharing his happy shots? I believe everyone has their right to voice their personal opinion in this photography forum as long it's appropriate. smile.gif

I feet even worse that someone couldn't differentiate sharing emotions and commenting on photography elements.

Nah, I was quoting you and moo together. Anyway let's not drag this further shall we? I had left my comments, whether one is able to accept it openly or take it emotional it's up to you guys. When people don't comment, people complaint. When people leave genuine comments, people still complained. Funny isn't it? smile.gif

Non taken mate. I knew you were just kidding that's why I just fooled around with you but seems like others are taking it too serious about this so called heat. Come on guys, it's just a genuine comment from me. Take it or leave it. Don't make yourself sad just because you can't accept others comment. cheers.gif

vikingw2k : Wa your 2nd shot. Please share the EXIF. Should be quite "high tech".
Nothing high tech la. Just snapped with 24mm at about 10-20cms away from the pwuhsee. Didn't bother to blast the flash to not frighten the black kitten behind.

QUOTE(d4rkholeang3l @ May 25 2010, 11:25 PM)
wow, the bokeh ! poisonous...

will try to do close up shots if got chance next time...
thanks for the guidance viking
Also, try to get to the same eye level to the cat instead of shooting top down. I was lying flat on the floor aka commando crawling style when I was taking the 2nd pwuhsee shot. smile.gif

captured with 55-200

Good attempt but I was thinking you might want to change the orientation to portrait and use a lower aperture to get sharper image as I notice it's a tad soft there. I have something similar to yours taken years back to show how it'll look on portrait orientation though the composition might not look nice. Hope it helps.

If you want to focus on the outstanding one, try to frame it using rule of 3rd. Something like this

It's one of the sharpest lens available in Canon. No need to fake the sharpness and bokeh in PS. It just comes out like that. By the way your aunt owned that much of gears huh?
