Wow, so fast@! Mine was quite slow. No reply after I ordered for 3 days.

If your LCD got issue, their tech won't come one.
You just file/phone complaint and they will send another LCD by courier and the courier service will take back your old LCD.

Credit card payment, is everything goes smoothly and stock available, 2-3 business days should get it, bsased on experience.

Now I why they called it as Advanced Exchange.

have a question...i have a u2410...and it seems to be having composite support...but my question is...wat kind of cable is composite? the yellow color only? cuz i google them in image i see alot of composite av cables..the 1 with 3 heads in 3 colors...yellow red and white...if that is the composite cable, which means i can play my ps2 with u2410? but behind only have 1 yellow slot which i believe is composite....
*
U2410 got component input. I believe the component inputs are blue, red and green. I'm not sure about PS2 output, if the only output is yellow color, it is normal video output. You can get a converter to convert the output to component outputs.

U2410 review by PRAD
user posted image

RGB is color component, Yellow is composite. use component wherever possible as it offer the best analog video PQ. the AV cable with yellow/red/white are for composite video and stereo audio connection. since U2410 doesn't have speaker thus audio input, you may try to use the AV cable as component. the PQ will not be as good as decent component cable but still better than the composite which junk all video data to one cable.

so what's the diff if you order something from 'home' and 'small/medium business'? Do you go thru more process?

Dell seem to give better deals for business...

buying thru online has better options/discount/freebies at times too tongue.gif

I purchased 4 times already, I did not do anything. And it was attractive discounts, you gotta know which items have higher margin, hence the discount is more. Thats why you ask for quotation in the first place tongue.gif

wa, the LCD thread like turning into Dell U2311h thread. =.= Selling like hot cake now.

From my research, U2311 has matte finish. My personal preferences is to get a glossy display LCD. Because i feel glossy LCD is more vibrant and the screen look 'smoother'.
So i come across this Acer s231hl which is also 23" with glossy finish. I know with extra Rm80 i can get Dell IPS panel but in matte finish.
I know even the acer is glossy finish, but dell is IPS panel, so the color will be more accurate than the acer 1, even it is matte, am i right?

So i like to hear professional opinion on which model u suggest me to get?
#Dell u2311h @ Rm680
or
#Acer s231hl @rm590

Or there is any other LCD which has more attractive offer for budget of RM600-Rm700 right now?

Thanks for input.

oo nice model
acer got led backlit so i think power consumption will be less (not sure but based on acer website
Power Consumption * Energy Star On: 28.2W, Off: 0.51W, Standby: 0.62W )
also got hdmi so u can connect consoles to it
but it doesnt have wide viewing angle as dell u2311h
and the color will be more accurate than the acer since it based on IPS (doesnt matter if it matte finish or not ) do correct me if i'm wrong in this

and then again to each his own smile.gif
i prefer u2311h so i can use display port on my gfx gaming pc
vga for laptop/netbook and dvi for other pc than i need to repair
and i also like the usb port
and not to mention the advanced exchange warranty

Can you tell me more on the displayport thing?
From net it says it is great for ATI 5000 series, which also mean it is great for me. rclxms.gif

But do we need any special cable/connector to use this port? Does it come with the LCD itself?
Why dont we use the VGA/DVI instead?
Is it a replacement for HDMI which is missing in this LCD?
Or is it solely for Eyefinity?

u need special cable to use displayport..and it doesnt come with lcd
i planning to use it since i'm planning to get gfx with displayport replacing my current hd4850
iirc correctly new nvida fermi also got display port on some model

it not really replacement for hdmi merely a another port as a another standard for connectivity with tv/lcd
and it does not use solely for Eyefinity

hope other LCD sifu can better explain it smile.gif

Wow, thx for putting them into 1 piece for me. Anyway the price for displayport cable is enough to put some1 off....
I m stickin with LED with more vibrant display and at the same time save $ on TNB bill.

Anyway, enjoy ur new LCD. For your gfx, wait for awhile because i can smell price drop very soon. rclxm9.gif

Nice day.

Also, Displayport cables are hard to find. I'm still prefer HDMI over Display port. Luckily my board could support HDMI and Displayport but HDMI cables are much cheaper.

Actually you cant really save much $ by using LED. I still prefer color accuracy that IPS panel could give over the ordinary TN panel.

BTW Dell U2311H does come with DVI-D cable right?

yea same here colour accuracy better here

not much difference on power consumption
dell power consumption
33W (without audio and USB connection)
Power Consumption Stand by / Sleep:
Less than 1 W

while acer power consumption
(On: 28.2W, Off: 0.51W, Standby: 0.62W )

it did come with dvi cable

Hey guys, i wanna get 2 monitors to connect in dual screen mode, would u guys recommend the Samsung PX2370 or the Dell ultrasharp U2311H ?

Also, i am using an ATI Radeon HD5670 which if im not mistaken has a display port, so just say i wanna connect my pc to 3 things at the same time , i can connect my 32inch lcd tv to the HDMI port, and 1 monitor to the dvi port and another one to the display port right?

will the monitor connected through the display port and the other 1 connected through the dvi port have the same display quality?

Also, how much is a display port cable?

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
