Since I use PVA panel few years back, I will never go back to TN panel, so either getting another PVA panel or upgrade to IPS panel. It's just me tho..

sometimes the place is full of people sending their Acer laptops to be repaired. Dont forget to bring some cash too, they will ask you to put deposit first, it was RM50 for laptop. I dont know about LCD.

Hi,
You guys know where can I buy the non-wide screen LCD monitor?
I need to buy a coupe for CAD use. Wide screen is not that effective utilization for CAD.
I search many places but all mainly sell the wide screen monitor.
I looking for some cheap deal for at least 19" or 20" and above. Just for monitor extension from the mobile workstation, no need very high resolution.
Please help.
THanks.

Lowyat Plaza, second floor, in the same row of C-zone, there are few shops that are selling old LCD including the non-wide screen LCDs.

Thanks @limcc for the superb information smile.gif Appreciated it wink.gif I think I have decided to get the U2410 as it looks pretty good and I received good feedback from a friend of mine who has dual setup with U2410 too biggrin.gif

Do you guys prefer to place order thru the sales people (via phone) or online? which option would be faster? tongue.gif

Thru a friend which is a staff, can get staff's discount too lol tongue.gif

but warranty will be under his name

sometimes staff discount is not even attractive wink.gif and loads of paperwork involved.. trust me tongue.gif

buying thru online has better options/discount/freebies at times too tongue.gif

I purchased 4 times already, I did not do anything. And it was attractive discounts, you gotta know which items have higher margin, hence the discount is more. Thats why you ask for quotation in the first place tongue.gif

Can you tell me more on the displayport thing?
From net it says it is great for ATI 5000 series, which also mean it is great for me.  rclxms.gif

But do we need any special cable/connector to use this port? Does it come with the LCD itself?
Why dont we use the VGA/DVI instead?
Is it a replacement for HDMI which is missing in this LCD?
Or is it solely for Eyefinity?

If i'm not mistaken, MAC (apple) LCD is using display port, and not all 5 series has display port. It depends on the card and the manufacturer.
