the dell guy must've meant that the u2311h doesn't have a hdmi slot for ps3,but you cna always use dp/dvi for that.and 1920x1080=fullhd

personally it isn't an issue as in scenes other than black it's not noticeable.and that's in a dark room.usually i keep the lights on.

QUOTE(hianboy @ Sep 3 2010, 04:24 PM) well.. anyway... im happy with my U2311H currently was wondering did you guys calibrate ur new U2311H? whats the preset that you guys using? and what purpose for you guys to calibrate? use back factory setting or u guys calibrate by your self? what bout the icc profiles? have you guys try the ICC profile and setting that provide by this site? http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htmseems like the color look weird after i follow their setting and used their ICC profile... QUOTE(126910937 @ Sep 3 2010, 07:00 PM) Since so many ppl alredi hav Dell U2311H..jst like to share dis info from www.flatpanelshd.com Comparison btween U2410 and U2311H monitors in the default color modes. Regarding backlight bleeding... Recommended calibrated setting from the website: After calibration Brightness: 30 Contrast: 75 Input Color Format: RGB Mode Selection: Graphics Sharpness: 50 Dynamic Contrast: Off Response time: Overdrive RGB: Custom • R: 99 • G: 95 • B: 98 Full reviews here: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?sub...l&id=1275291737i tried using the settings from that site but it makes the colour weird. So i used back the stock profile, the colour seems accurate enough for me [compare a real life object in front of my eyes and the picture of it that's displayed on the LCD].But,if there's someone who offers calibration service with a screen calibrator i'll want to calibrate it.

QUOTE(hianboy @ Sep 4 2010, 01:10 PM) Guys... i just notice that my U2311H half two tone... far left is blueish and to the right is more warm color... you guys try with a full page white color with 2 or 3 gray color bar for comparison... like now im looking at my Safari Menu bar (which in gray color), the far left is more to blueish... and when going to the right is more warm (yellowish) and it darker on the fall right... damn... Added on September 4, 2010, 2:52 pm Called Dell Support, for Monitor their service only available on weekdays 9-6 only well, ithe colour does look warmer to the right and cooler to the left.t looks llike you got a problematic unit.try calling dell, this is afterall an ultrasharp unit. mind posting the links for the grey clour bar?

QUOTE(avengers88 @ Sep 5 2010, 08:34 AM) display port is the dvi ?? and the blue one is vga right ?? Recer , yeah got little review .. But i thought the problem only persist in IPS panels ?? ST2321L is using TN panel lol .. the problem doesn't really exist in IPS panels only.IMO such problems aren't heard on other LCDs,expecially TN panel ones are that people don't really review them/expectations for such LCDs are low Added on September 5, 2010, 12:16 pmbtw, displayport is the samll connector,it's performs similarly compared to a hdmi port This post has been edited by Racerx: Sep 5 2010, 12:16 PM

QUOTE(Toshiakiz @ Sep 7 2010, 01:32 PM) Dear All, Any idea or information for this Samsung BX2350H Led LCD monitor? I need advice =) Thank you It's a standard TN Panel WLED backlit monitor,it's thin and bright but the colours aren't really accurate plus the adjustments that can be made to the stand is too little.imo,it's really hard to beat the Dell U2311H at RM599 [normal price is RM709 but ask the few guys who got it for RM599 here on how to get it at that price. QUOTE(ukimaro @ Sep 7 2010, 02:25 PM) What do u guys think abt the px2370 and p2450h ? which one u guys prefer ? same explanation as above, though the PX2370 does use better than usual TN panel, but imo it sitall can't beat the eIPS panle U2311H at RM599/709.If you are still adamant on getting these Samsungs, get the PX2370

Also,if you have bad luck, you might get one with colour tinting issues [some got it,most people don't] For the HDMI to DVI cable,it should cost around RM30+-.The adapter is even cheaper, normally around RM20
