cost is RM338 including gear oil....damn expensive la!!!
but i really hope, this time, car will hv more power, better fc than b4, smoother and more quiet ride.....well, my family was very very impress with this car, wider and bigger, but not longer than nissan grand livina, with an excellent FC(with stock factory minyak).

kia technician told me there's 1 customer, his forte 1.6sx can go AOR - johor in less than RM80 petrol...not sure correct or nt, bt that's wat he told me.
*
338? y so expensive? most ppl paid around 227 - 240 for the 1st service.
yeah as mentioned by allic, y gear oil?

from AOR to johor... northern part of johor?

i did a trip from gelang patah (johor boundary, 2nd link highway to singapore) - singapore city drive a bit - PJ - ipoh, for a full tank of about 80... to AOR is a bit too much la smile.gif

finally got my forte 1.6sx today, book at 13May, paid down payment at 21May, get on 31May. very proud of it when driving the car.

not much issue with the car, except common problem with alignment and headlight condensation... got one small dent in paint in passenger door, but just ignore it since it's a small matter...

thought can straight away send to tint but aircool rawang quote me agard 8 mil series at 2.8k, another tint shop keep promote local tint which never heard before... blink.gif
no choice but delay the tint and look for other brand later. can anyone got any good tint can recommend to me? thanks.

To All Sifooo and Fellow Fortezan.

Today I've tested a 1.6 Forte in Malacca branch, and I'm impressed with it.Now i'm torn apart whether to go for 1.6 or 2.0. I'm just curious on 2.0 stock availability as I've read a lot of negative feedback regarding 2.0 deliveries. And any feedback for Malacca branch would be highly appreciated.

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to join the family and building up Malacca's Forte owners branch over here. smile.gif

If u are not in a hurry & late delivery date is out of your concern, u can opt for 2.0. else opt for 1.6. no wrong choice here smile.gif

May I know whats the average FC for 2.0 forte?

I always get around 11 to 12 liter / 100 KM.

One full tank (RM 80) can last about 370KM only.

Something wrong with my car?? ARGGHHGHH

Your one full tank can last for how many KMs normally? (100% city driving)

If you're really concerned about FC, I'd suggest 1.6 as lower cc will certainly consume less fuel compared to 2.0, assuming your driving conditions/style is the same for both la.

Yupe, that is true. I purposely paid attention to that when driving the altis 1.6, and saved the info in my handphone, as i knew i would be getting my forte soon and would like to compare this.

Hehe, my car plate number is finally registered. Will be getting my car tomorrow smile.gif smile.gif

yeah~ congratulations!
how much is the reading on altis?

QUOTE(XionCity @ May 31 2010, 03:36 PM)
I drove on highway using RON95 as i mentioned earlier,
yesterday(sunday) i tried RON97 travelled AOR-TPG-IPH-TPG-AOR
average fuel consumption is 7.1L/100km. maintain speed at 110km/h, sometimes 120 when overtake, and 80-90 at Sg2 - Juru expressway.
But the problem is, when on the way go and back from Ipoh, car carried 4 adults, 1 kid. really like powerless la...
mayb bcoz of the stock minyak from factory kut (b4 1k km service).
I juz serviced my car at 950km, hvn't tested on highway yet, muz w8..
cost is RM338 including gear oil....damn expensive la!!!
but i really hope, this time, car will hv more power, better fc than b4, smoother and more quiet ride.....well, my family was very very impress with this car, wider and bigger, but not longer than nissan grand livina, with an excellent FC(with stock factory minyak).
AOR SC is very good, the ppl there very kind, any problem ask them, they replied back very friendly matter. Service, consider very fast(compare with my old toyota SC). i really recommend the SC here....very good service. well, i asked abt my headlamps problem(local technician), they told me technicians fr. korea said is our weather problem, and they will work on it, make sure my headlamp can coup with the heat weather here(33-38C). hope this will improve their QC too.

congrats!!! i hope u will surely love ur forte than ur altis...

btw, i tot altis oni got 1.8 or 2.0???

haiya, altis oni got 110bhp(if not mistaken), where forte got 124bhp...(like IAFM and CPS), yet, i dunno much bt altis engine, but i m assure u, forte engine is very quiet and very good FC. kia technician told me there's 1 customer, his forte 1.6sx can go AOR - johor in less than RM80 petrol...not sure correct or nt, bt that's wat he told me.

urs forte bright silver??? haha, we're twins then....xD
*
you purposely ask the SC to change gear oil for you or they "advise, suggest" whatever it is to ask u change?
if u change by ur willing, then ok la.. if not please call kia-careline to f*cK upside down.
should be RM227+- only.

My first tank was around 500km, now onto my 2nd tank. From the meter it's estimated to be around 530km.

Yesterday FC went down to 8.6 but today went back to 9.1. Hmmm but i heard it'll be better after 1st service?

Also i thought 2.0 will have better fuel consumption than 1.6 coz same weight, same fuel capacity but more power?
