for the rear mudguard, a normal screw driver is never going to fit the narrow space between the tyre and arch.......unlike the front, where the wheel can be turned away.........how to fix without removing the wheel itself?
*
if u have those 'adapter' type of screw drivers, take the bit with phillips head, hold it with a plier, then that is good enough to loosen the screw dy. that's how the ppl at brothers' did when they install mine smile.gif

Bro lee, I did 1k service with Semi-Syn oil for my 2.0 it cost me RM125.20 at Sg. Pinang SC.
*
thanks bro. that's 100 bucks cheaper than fully syn!
might consider that for my 10k service.

so the semi-syn can tahan 7 to 8k?

semi-syn can tahan 6mths as well?

just came back from puchong SC. according to the guys there semi-syn is for 3 months only. mileage wise is 5k km. a bit contrast to what I know previously but i guess i will just stick to fully syn oil. no increase in price wor. now still 22x for fully syn oil service.

Hi guys,

Recently I notice that my car has some sound from my air-cond, driver seat & front passenger seat.
1) The noise from my air-cond it only can be heard when I drive 90km/h and above.
2) Driver seat rattle sound is come from the window part.
3) Front passenger seat also has rattle sound I heard but cant catch where's the exact place its come from.

Did you guys encounter above problems during your ride? If yes, did you guys solved it? Which SC you went to?
*
the service manager, Mr. Arul did mention that he heard the rattling noise. this noise is coming from the front passenger side door but his team were not able to nail down the problem even after they open up the door panel to check. the noise can only be heard when you r on very rough surface (probably u can hear the noise in those area with paver tiles as well).

i KIV the problem 1st. until another forte with similar issue shows up for him to check further tongue.gif

*
hahhaa... not tyre sound la. it's plastic vibrating against something... last time sent to jln tandang but couldn't reproduce the sound to them... today the puchong SC guys test themselves.

Bro I already have everythings including the chasis number infront of me. They have 2.0 stock but the car isn't going anywhere because the approval is not there.
*
bro... the car delivery nightmare is a never ending story... probably till the day production in gurun starts but nobody has any clue when it's gonna happen so as of now all the troubles r with gamen.

if u r not in a hurry, then wait lo. otherwise no harm for u to explore other options... besides i'm sure u have considered lots of things b4 deciding to buy this car. it's a matter of months to wait for the car that u will drive for years to come. just ask bro izputra and some other 2.0 for their classic stories.

it's going to be pretty tough, the screws are quite tight. Is there such a thing as a right angled screwdriver?

i wanted to look for such a screwdriver also... but the closest thing i can find / think of is an allen key (hex key).
and need to find the extra phillips head bit that can be fitted into they key, so in the end, bayar 10 ringgit let other ppl do the job for me tongue.gif

Sigh...

tat's the SA issue... they all wanna close sales and to do tat, simply giving empty promises.
i thought in 2010 careline already mention waiting period... even though it's not consistent but it's something like 2 - 4 months kinda stuff.

For us, its a different game now.... we are waiting for a car.... not sure whether its assembled by NAZA or not.  rclxub.gif  Would you wait 4-5 months for a 1st batch assembled car by NAZA?  sad.gif
*
hmmm... i still believe that production line in gurun is not quite ready to roll out the car so all new cars to be delivered these 2 months (if they got car to deliver la) will still be... u know wat i mean smile.gif anyone got insider news? got near to the gurun plant?

we had this discussion back then... and point of reference was the peugeot 308. assembled in malaysia with solid build quality.

1.6 = 7l/km
2.0 = 9l/km
*
7l/100km? it depends on traffic condition... 7l/100km can happen if traffic is smooth and if u keep travellin around 70 to 80km/h and above.
otherwise 10 to 12l/100km is a more realistic figure for city driving with all the traffic lights and jams.

tat's for a 1.6sx. ex should save a bit more because of the smaller tyre smile.gif

Yeah I've went through all the classic stories for the past 2 months ago. The SA can even promised me 99.9% can deliver the car the nex day after signing ceremony with bank officer. The best part is I already sold my car because of the all classic stories.

Gud luck.

Exactly same story as mine when I was still waiting for my car. Sold out my old car begining of Jan 10, Aprl 8 only collected my new car bcos of those lovely promises made by SA.
Good luck to you too.
*
i consider myself lucky cause i got rid of my old car but needed to wait for about 2 weeks only to get my 1.6...
tat's was end of last year... imagine until today the same thing is repeating itself.

so sad.

1.6SX = 70K
2.0SX = 80K

if everyone else don't want to sell at cheap price + naza also didn't lower down the price + the demand always high + lots of accessories + lots of parts for modders to play with + also subject to people's perception has changed.
*
well rule of thumb expect 10% depreciation every year... if the car is holding up well like what bro taipan said smile.gif
last time 2nd hand value of korean cars is lousy because of the high FC... n cost of maintenance... if forte can overcome this problem then 2nd hand value shouldn't be an issue anymore. FC... so far so good... considering the size, and also the fact that it's wearing 17-inch tyres for the sx.

actually our kumho tyres are quite cheap... compared to other brands... still thinking whether should stick to kumho or change to others next time... the difference is easily RM 500 per set.

I just back from nazakia subang. They are offering 3 years extended warranty directly from kiamotors, RM 600 for both 1.6/2.0.
Worth to go for it?

if it's confirmed, and available to all previous buyers, i'll definitely go for it.
