3rd day after owning Forte 2.0 biggrin.gif

Did Llumar tint today. Really can feel difference before and after tint. Not that hot anymore. After tint i parked under hot sun for few hours, went into the car can feel the heat, switch on aircond and within 3 minutes cool down, leather seat oso not very hot biggrin.gif

The llumar guys didn't take out the door panel but instead took out the rubber and pry open the door panel a bit, just enought to cover the side windows.

First time they worked with Forte but they seem experienced. My heart dropped when i saw how they 'treated' my baby sad.gif

But luckily after they put back everything i don't hear any rattlings or squeakings otherwise i'll sure go crazy hehe.

But one thing i can still feel heat from side windows when driving, is that normal? i thought should be very cool wan? sad.gif

2 findings today.

1). There is an aircond duct under driver and passenger seat. Has this been mentioned b4? I was feeling under the seat and suddenly felt something hard under the seat. At first thought it was some defect but found out it was actually air cond duct for rear passengers, nice~~~

2). Set the odometer light to 1 notch below maximum (before the 'click'). It will look dim, but nice to drive at night. When switch off lights it will return to 'MAX' and switch on lights it will automatically dim again. Daytime with lights off it will be 'MAX' coz with daylight it's easier to see at MAX and at night it will auto dim again. biggrin.gif

Very nice feature biggrin.gif

Just Right UNDER the passenger and driver seat. Go to rear passenger seat, bend down and look under the seat, it's quite big, you can sure see it hehe.

I don have camera with me right now, sorry bro tongue.gif

You might need a torch light to see it clearly hehe.

It's been mention by Nur before when I doing the car mat scare it will block the air cond vent, it's nice feature but how often do you use the blow top (face) and bottom (leg) together? I usually use face only... haha wink.gif

tot to diy a pipe so that sambung from the bottom air cond vent to top so that back can enjoy the air cond instead of the leg? haha but just talk only la me... who want to design it??

QUOTE(toytoy @ May 29 2010, 02:01 AM)
SA not trustable wan lar, my SA told me whole NazaKia only have 1 runner.

Damn i waited from WTN to WTX, early early asked me to give him a list of number i want, but in the end i have to go JPJ and buy myself.

Some more he wanted RM450.

So i went myself, JPJ list only WTX 2xx, when i went the screen showing 2xxx numbers instead of 2xx.

So i though i can only choose from the screen, but the JPJ told me that screen cannot be trusted, it's true, many numbers already taken.

So i gave him my list and he checked 1 by 1, i ended up buying WTX 8XX8 and it's only RM210.

Skip to 8XXX number already still RM210 and not RM310. Worth it biggrin.gif

And yes the process took around 5-10 mins only, but runner wan make money so a lot of number oso they say don have wan.

So never trust the JPJ list on the internet, if its showing latest number 2xxx and you wan buy 8xxx number, by the time u go there all taken already.

It's best to start buying the number when they release new Letter. Say now is WTX 8xxx or 9xxx so they will release WTY soon. Once they release u straigt go buy sure got higher chance.

Thanks toytoy for sharing your experience. i'm Penang and can't go down to do the registration, so have to rely on them anyhow. Just hopefully by Monday she can get 1 of the 20+ numbers-of-choice that i gave her. Today is ngam-ngam 3 week from the day i pay deposit. Praying.....

Yaa..the leg vent are not so useful in our hot climate. The cool air from the face vent will go down to your feet anyway. Simple thermodynamics right? The bottom (leg) vent will be extremely practical when we use heater instead (during winter..of course not in our country la) so that the hot air will move from bottom to the top

Guys today I went to Naza World on the federal highway to see the Forte (was supposed to test drive, but got construction on their entrance so cannot bring the car out sad.gif ). Sat inside it, loved it. Among all the ones I test-drove (or sat in) today, this was definitely the winner. When I asked her about availability, she said the 1.6 EX and SX has ready stock, the 2.0 has to wait. I dunno if this is different from what everyone has heard, but just to let anyone here know, if you're looking for 1.6, PJ got stock? Ahaha...Look for Cik Halimah, she was quite friendly and she knows her stuff quite well.

I use Meguier's Gold Class leather cleaner & conditioner. Don't need to really need to do so often if your car is not always exposed to hot sun.

kinda undecide whether should I take white color or bright silver.... more towards white but abit worry with the maintenance... any white color forte owner, do you having hard time maintaining your car? care to share?

Is there any paint protection shop in Penang??

Also, the SA recommend me to take Ecotint brand safety film + tint. is it a good buy? i see myforte club more towards Aircool. which one can be better for cutting down the heat???

will give this brand special attention when visiting accessories shops...thx! my car definitely will need lots of care car will expose to direct sunlight each & every day sad.gif ...

btw bro saimatkong...i'm considering pps for exterior i'll give a visit to the shop soon...if do pps interior means dont need other stuff ie. cleaner/conditioner?? or shud use less of those..

the car so far couple of days performing up to expectation nod.gif minus the highlights from other forumers road/tire noise actually quite noticable it my thought it's just the tire itself change to better tire shud reduce noise level..dont get the driver seat sound yet and aah love the red stitching superb touch up! and yeah the feeling 'why the car still not going!' is evident in a slightest moment when need to overtake but i tot it's acceptable..i used to drive manual only before & i havent touch the manual mode..

1st time go on highway = AS - SP - AS.
used bar = 2 bars, RON95 petrol
not bad...the car runs smooth, but accelerate slow(like no power O/T cars).
now changed to RON97, hope gives much better performance....
110KM/H = 2.9k RPM = 1.6SX, not bad, much better than my AE101

waiting for my new headlamp claim back....*sigh* dunno when can i get...lots of ppl loves my Forte....

Added on May 30, 2010, 12:07 ampetrol consumption obviously cannot beat nissan grand livina 1.8
but sound proof beats the hell out of nissan grand livina
the grand livina i mentioned belongs to my parents....
