QUOTE(Cheenoo @ Jun 12 2010, 07:04 PM) oh man, i just saw ur this post. I'm a fan of simple designs. Currently drooling over the Stowa Antea creme. That website is the only place i can get it right? stowa can only get online. place and order now, U don't have to pay. when watch is ready, they will inform U to pay. They kinda make watch to order!its a little out of your budget closer to RM$1.2k + shipping, if u are planning to spend rm900, I would get this Antea creme http://www.german-watches.com/cgi-bin/lsho...Tshowrub--antea ~rm900 can only get a christopherward C5. if U are lucky maybe can get the nearly new for ~rm600. 2ppl here are getting a CW http://www.christopherward.co.uk/men/dress/c5/c5swt.html citizen try this if u looking to spend ~rm300 http://www.nextdaywatches.com/product/_284...trap-watch.html This post has been edited by patryn33: Jun 13 2010, 09:50 AM |

thats what I learnt too, just create 1 and email stowa directly to place the order. don't have to go thru the website.
Cheenoo order now and you may get watches by Sept 2010, else it maybe a long wait. European VAT is always high. 16% is a norm.. I heard they do have Luxury tax, if u are buying branded stuff. This post has been edited by patryn33: Jun 13 2010, 06:44 PM |

QUOTE(Cheenoo @ Jun 13 2010, 10:28 PM) Yeah its mainly the cost..besides, its not urgent, i'm still relatively young, i can always get it when i officially join the workforce. Antea will be there, but it will cost more.. due to inflation and SWATCH group jacking up those prices on movement. The Antea will still be there right? if EUROPE Econ recover, EUR gets stronger than it also naturally means it cost more. Today Euro is weak and econ is bad, so kinda good timing. Added on June 14, 2010, 8:40 am QUOTE(LeaSe*lineR @ Jun 14 2010, 06:47 AM) really can lari from tax? for the past 2 years all my online shopping x pernah kene...how do custom tax on watch? base on country or brand? according to ck77 experience. Malaysia no tax on watch (import).usually no Tax when U getting overseas. buy from USA, UK and ship to Malaysia no tax. buy from Germany, I got tax from http://www.watchstyle.com/ ck77 didn't get tax from Laco. Stowa is a mix bag depending how U do it. This post has been edited by patryn33: Jun 14 2010, 08:40 AM |

not dealt with them b4, but alot of positive review on WUS etc.
I know someone that dealt with them, the shipping is reasonable (shipping to SG). so which watch is on your radar? This post has been edited by patryn33: Jun 14 2010, 11:05 AM |

QUOTE(Cheenoo @ Jun 14 2010, 07:49 PM) no man... its at EUR$312 + cost of shipping.. and also depends on exchange rate at the time they deliver the watch.shipping by Fedex/DHL I think EUR$20+, thats more like rm1.4k. worst case maybe 1.5K, or extremely lucky due to fall in EUR maybe 1.3k if u have a fedex account it will cost U EUR$312, else its EUR$350 This post has been edited by patryn33: Jun 14 2010, 08:11 PM |

seriously, 1 week and u sick of it. abit cheaper than retail, if u wanna sell it to 2nd hand place. u will lose at least 10-30% from the price u paid. watches is like car, sign the paper and bring home for even a day and resale value tend to drop as if u own it for 6mths
try sites such as, maybe U don't get to lose much http://tamhk.com/mwf/index.php?board=6.0 www.watchuseek.com |

lets hope alfredfx give his review on his C5 when he collect it from the post office.
if i cannot get hold of a nomos, screw it i am getting a JLC Atmos clock. since i am cheapo only willing to pay ~US$800 for a nomos any way. a Stowa Antea 365 is cheaper..but i really love to have a Atmos. This post has been edited by patryn33: Jun 15 2010, 09:27 PM |

they aren't cheap to begin with even when discount is generally steeper than PANERAI.
ppl tend to go for a Pam. I don't mind a ferrari, I like their price pts esp pre own this Retailing at SGD 12,650. now SGD 5,990, http://www.visiotime.com/index.php?page=Pr...tDetail&id=2684 ![]() |

QUOTE(kockroach @ Jun 17 2010, 07:48 PM) Can I know what is the acceptable range of accuracy for an automatic watch, and how do we check the accuracy.I find that mine is like faster for 1 or 2 minutes for every 1 week or so. Is it normal? 1st of all whats your automatic watch? brand and model.say its 90secs fast total after 7 days. is it consistently 12-13sec fast every 24hr? or is it 24secs 1 day, -5sec the next etc and somehow it add up to 90secs fast? if its the later thats not normal. otherwise, depending on kind of movement inside that maybe acceptable. if its a Rolex generally thats unacceptable. A Seiko/Russian/China watches that maybe acceptable. |
