I have a few queries regarding the 320i:

1) Is there a particular reason why BMW is only offering 2 years warranty?
2) Is there a way to choose a particular tyre? I was told it comes in batches and if ure unlucky you can even get Sime tyres.
3) What is the best interest rate in KL for 7 and 9 yrs loan?
3) Is there any branch or salesperson thats offering discounts for the 320i?

Saw a lot of the 1 series when I was in Johor (mostly SG plates). Didn't like the new design that much. Maybe it needs to grow on me. Really feel quite chunky because it looks like the X1 design especially the front. Doesn't have the sleek feeling such as the F30.

1 series is ugly for me. I am in Australia so 1 series is so common like Proton in Malaysia tongue.gif

Not sure what will be the pricing in Malaysia but BMW just slashed the price so that they can compete with MB A class. 135M just dropped to $65k to pull customer from buying A250

It's like the moment where BMW enthusiasts say FINALLY but not buying it.
Personally I'd opt for the 3-Series M Sport running on diesel. Sexayyyyyyyy. wub.gif

If possible, go for the 328i M Sport instead. You won't regret it! brows.gif brows.gif

E60 is a model that i would say quite controversial in terms of looks, some 5series hardcore fans do not like the E60 design, so as for the collectors value question, its very subjective unlike the predecessor will definitely a classic.

That being said, i still love my e60 althou it does gimme problems from time to time. biggrin.gif

But the 328d M-Sport's engine tune... Wooooh, eargasms.
I am fully aware that Malaysia's diesel quality and the recent hike in fuel price as well. So... mad.gif

Lol, some people are still living in the past. The MB in todays era does not cost any less to maintain than a BMW. Please wake up. MB's are so yesterday. if you want cheap MBs to maintain get the 124 series. Its dirt cheap but seriously that car drives like a bullock cart.

Honestly, in terms of maintenance, if you are buying both the cars new (I assume you mean the F30 316i), the BMW comes with BSRI which gives you free maintenance of up to 60,000km. That means whenever it is time for service all you need is to bring your car in and collect it back for free. No payment. Within the 60,000km, on average the usual F30 owner might get around 3 services. So technically the BMW wins over the MB because of the BSRI package.

Now after the BSRI package, maintenance is relatively similar because at the end of the day, you only mention maintenance and changing the engine oil, fluids, fuel filter is relatively cheap outside for both marques. Both marques have plenty of stockists so maintenance wise, if you do it outside of the service center, it is quite similar.

When it comes to repairs, then the topic is relatively subjective.

3) Is there any branch or salesperson thats offering discounts for the 320i?

Just saw your thread, hope the responses are still relevant for you.

1) All BMW cars only have 2 years warranty. No idea why it is only kept at 2 years. I guess they do offset it with the so called BSRI.
2) No way unless you specifically go to all of the dealers and ask which RFT tyres they provide with the new car
3) The interest rate would be quite competitive especially with BMW Credit. I am not too sure if they offer a 9 year loan though.
4) Heard that the 320i has a long waiting list, not much discounts offered. Probably better at the end of the year.

Thanks for the answer sir. smile.gif. I used a wrong word. I should use repair interm of maintain. smile.gif.

How is the cost of parts of BMW 318i compare to MB C180 espcially those part that we have to change after 40k km or 100k km, etc such as break pad, etc.

By the way, I am talking about used BMW 318i and used MB C180 Year 2008-2010 range which suit my budget. Thanks!
