Bro, bmw 5 years and above most of the time will have gear problem or oil pump problem.
Theses two problems is very common.
Even my friend's dad has brand new e60, but 4 years later still oil pump problem and gear a bit like jerking.
I also worried about my F30  blink.gif .

Oil pump problems tend to happen such as the ABS oil and also the fuel pump. Those are some of the standard issues with the older BMW's. Parts are aplenty here and it isn't that much to fix.

The gear jerking for the E60 can be fixed, some of the symptoms is due to the solenoid problem in the gearbox. Bring it to a BMW transmission specialist to get it fixed.

Your F30 gearbox is completely new! 8-speed ZF box if I am not mistaken.

Got 328i msport d? 3 months ago drop my car for service then kepoh with SA. He said currently is only 320d and 320i got msport.

I really want the msport kit. In order for me to get the m performance kit, I need to install msport first. But original it's around rm10,000. Tbh I kind of butthurt knowing Msia road conditions. Then I need fork another rm15k for m performance kit. Price last checked 4 months ago.

Mine is Melbourne red, so far I didn't see a red msport or m performance kit hahahaa
*
Your SA is misinformed. The M-Sport versions are only for the F30 320d and the F30 328i. The M-sport for the 328i gives quite a good package because it also comes with adaptive suspension whilst the 320d just come with M-Sport shocks.

Personally when it comes to bodykit, if you are extremely particular, you can opt for alternative sources instead of going straight to the dealers to get the M-Sport bodykit and the M-Performance bodykit. Several places such as Motorsport Division in Sunway are selling it together at a package for way less than the dealers.

Another source is Stuttgart in Taman Mayang Jaya. Do note that Stuttgart is also a BMW stockist. http://www.stuttgart.com.my

Hello sifus.
Just wondering which one would you choose.

A really well maintaned/super underused 3rd car BMW 320i Efficient Dynamics (2010) or the upcoming Honda City Top Spec (2014)?

The BMW has less than 50k mileage due to it being the third car of the current owner and has never been in any accident, owner is offering me rm100k
(must I mention that the owner is a family friend and all I have to do is just pay monthly to him at any amount that I am comfortable without the hassle of taking loans?)

while on the other hand, before this offer came along, I was eyeing the top spec soon to be launched Honda City 2014 which is priced around rm89k.

If you are to be in my shoes, which one would you choose?
For long term ownership?

Thanks!

TBH, ask yourself can u out of sudden able to cope with 3K or minimal repairs of atleast 1k for maintenance per month?

I been there done that. I used to own a 2nd hand E46, which roughly needs around 1k each month to maintain this and that. Just in average.

Roughly service will cost RM700 cheapest, average done 3months. In the end gearbox kong after using the car for additional 3years which total age of the car is 7years. No choice but i have to sell it off and get a new H.city until last year i finally have the capability to earn a new 328i F30.

Yeah he resigned already.

The 328i M Sport when new is RM309k but they had a pre-registered demo unit for sale at RM259k during the CNY fair.

I saw a advertisement for BMW E90 manufacturer year 2007 at Rm106k. This unit is unregistered unit.

Unregistered unit means recon unit? What would be the pros and cons to get this car?

not sure where to post about this but since this is BMW thread which BMW owns Mini.

Anyone know where to buy Mini Cooper S accessories such as navigation system(upgrade)? And where is the best place to remap the ECU?

hello guys..
thanks for the info, i'm currently eyeing on a secondhand 328i f30.. saw a lot of second hand going for around RM200k to RM230k for 2011-2013 cars, mileage 30k-50k. just wanna know from hands on experience.. whats the most major problem you have to dealt with. I just like to know what should I be expecting once I bought the second hand car. is it better to find a recon or ckd secondhand? hope you guys can share...

been driving a Honda FD since 2006, and I think its time to move on.. what do you guys think?

The car is very nice to drive but the maintenance cost is the ones that kill most people. From the road tax, to the servicing fees and depending on which engine you are going for, there might be some problems that you may have to fix. I would say budget around RM30k for fixing, road tax, tinting, etc.. as well when purchasing the X5

I wonder why nobody here is talking about the F30 316i... Is it that bad of a car?

I am actually very interested with this car as I am mostly stuck in KL traffics anyway...

It is an ok car but best to check with the owners at the BMWCM forums. Some have a trouble free experience and some face a lot of nagging issues with the car, the f30 in general.
