i feed my dog kibbles with water when she was below 6 months
after tat i dun add in any water
wan her to chew the food but not just swallow it  sweat.gif
*
It's depends on the teeth growing status, in general dog teeth drops at 4mths, they will need water mix with food or they will practice swallow, coz when they bite its pain for their gums, when the time u see ur dog grow bigger teeth then do no add water to their food anymore, let them start biting, this will help them grow their teeth stronger.

Like my case my golden drops its teeth when he is 4mths old, then in half month time he grow his teeth rapidly, now its only 5mths+ i feed him without water in food, and he chews the food all the time....

if possible put a brick(large size) in the middle of their tub and pour the kibbles around it, so it will delay their eating time and eventually thy will chew more to have a better digestive system....

Mixed Nature’s Variety Prairie Lamb Recipe with Evo kibbles. Seems like finger lickin good for Snoopy. Hehe. Also bought Nature’s Variety Instinct Beef Formula and Evo canned food. Snoopy seems to love it very very much when mixed with canned food.

btw eukanuba not really a good dog food as is aim to attack vet market
if u go vet mostly got sell eukanuba sure ask u buy it one haha

I have tried addiction for my adopted GSD before. She is infected with fungal. Fur lost and patchy spots around the body. Was heard addiction claim to be good for fur. However, no result obtain after 3 months. Then, i change to EVO. EVO make my puppy grow bigger and shining fur. The sad thing is, she smell badly. She also suffered chronic diarrhea because of this food. Now she is having Orijen.

Try changing to a good dog food from the start. Pedigree is the worst food everrrrr to give to a dog.
Learn how to read the food label. Otherwise, jes go to www.dogfoodadvisor.com and choose kibbles that are at least 3 stars and above.
FYI, Pedigree get 1 star and tat is because there is no lower than 1.

If i'm not mistaken, pedigree has too much fillers. If u put water in it, they tend to expand. Alpo isn't too bad, u can give it dry or wet. I had read somewhere that dog's food should consist of 2different type of protein and vege/fruits. Thats best for them.

Alpo is crap. Learn to read the label ppl! Dun give wrong judgement to others. Ground yellow corn, corn germ meal, meat and bone meal as first 3 ingredient. Tell me which one do u think is not filler and good?? doh.gif

And..where the heck u read this?? sweat.gif

I had tried out few brands for my dog.
I gave my very first dog some budget market brand ever since he is a pup.
And then it had developed severe skin problem. I went to a vet, they recommended me Royal Canin.
I tried giving my dog S.P for 2-3 month. It was too expensive for me to maintain even though the skin problem gets better.
I finally gave him Eukanuba Lamb and In Diet supplement to boost up his immune system and enhance skin and coat condition.
Save me a lot of money to visit the vet biggrin.gif

My boy who is on Eukanuba puppy small breed poos a lot and usually quite stiff. He takes a while to do his business too =(

Can't wait to switch him over to AD as soon as I can find a proper container or way to store the kibble.

Fiber will cause increase in poo freqency and amount. If you want less trouble for this, try holistic (grain free) and super premium food. I am currently feeding Orijen. The only problem with Orijen is, the poo is very smelly. Otherwise, frequency and amount is less compare to high fiber food.

I'm sorry for misleading anyone here. I surely did not mean that Alpo was the best dog food. Of course there are better dog food out there like Orijen, Solid Gold, Blackwood which contains less fats or carbs compared to those pet food sold in supermarkets, correct me if I'm wrong. If u read the thread I had replied to, was given options of pedigree, alpo, fitness trainer, royal canin and blue seal... which are more or less the same. u may want to check it out here http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/dog-food-reviews/brand/ I'm saying Alpo coz my beagle had consumed Pedigree before, which expands when add water unlike Alpo and also he gets hungry like 3-4hrs after each meal. Home food is the best. I had just started giving my beagle home food. Here are some homemade recipes http://www.i-love-dogs.com/dog-food-recipes.html or http://www.dog-obedience-training-review.c...od-recipes.html there are many other sites that offers dog food recipes. Have a great weekend mate smile.gif

Yeah, I notice he poo more compare to when he was on NutriSource. Sometimes it feels like he poo almost the same amount that he eat =(
Now in midst of gradually switching him from Eukanuba to Avoderm =D hope it will help with the poo smell and quantity.

What type of dog food are you feeding him ? As far as I know they cannot take cow milk as they are lactose intolerant. If you want to give milk, you can try goat's milk. If not, you can soak the kibble in warm water to mush it.

You can consider going for puppy type dog food, try to look for those that has Chicken Meal or Lamb Meal or a named meat meal as first ingredient and the less amount of grain the better.

Currently I'm using Purina but the one for puppy. For milk, I used lactose free milk for it.

Meat as first ingredient....Any good brand for it? smile.gif

You can browse http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ to check ^^
Good brand also depend on your budget and location (if can find them), please get the best that you can.
Just pls don't go for brands like Pedigree / Alpo / Eukanuba ya. Read the ingredient list carefully and eliminate brands that states stuff like "by-products" or too much grain / corn.

If you not sure what brand he will like, some shops got sample packs that you can let your puppy try, or get a smaller bag and let him/her try first ~
