hi, i am thinking whether to go redang during my semester break and hav some questions in mind.
1st of all,
wanna ask that redang is good place for a noobi like me who just learn to swim to enjoy?cos i donno hwo to dive or snorkel yet

And also, do i need to wear thing like broadshort thr or a swimming trunk is sufficient? i am worried cos my swimming trunk is triangular type and i donno is it common for ppl to wear at thr or not. don like ppl stare at me like i am an alien.
btw, i don hav any beachwear too. Nv been to beach b4..

how long will it be going from kl to kuala terengganu and to P.redang?
thanks!

From Hentian Putra KL to Kuala Terengganu Bus Station its take 7 -8 hour. Fares RM30.00 one way and you have to transfer to Merang Jetty around 40 minute. Fares only RM10.00 one way per person.

Merang Jetty to Redang Island only 30 minute..

hello everyone,
I'm planning to go for a 3D2N Redang package on 26th of this month,
but have some question to ask you all..
hope somebody can help to answer these..

1st question, if in this case my last day will be on friday (3d2n),
but this will not cause additional charges right?since we will check out in the early morning and no activity at all.

2. some friends said it might not be monsoon now but the wave & wind is actually become stronger now,
so just wanna ask for ur pro opinion is it suitable to go anymore?
If not then I will schedule it to next year.

3. I planned to take bus from the Putra Bus Station near PWTC, and the bus will depart at 10pm right?
so I planned to take LRT to there around 9pm,
is it safe walking on that street at 9 something or 10 there?
cause I haven been there before..

4. if we need the transport from station/airport to jetty, how much is it?
and wanna ask is the Boat from jetty provided by the resort?
cause I'd inquire some agents and 1 said the boat depart from Merang but another told me it's from shahbandar, or it's depends on the agency?

5. after depart from jetty all the thing will follow the Resort's schedule and all non of the agent responsibility is it?

6. lastly maybe a stupid question tongue.gif , is there any so called "life guard" or what can we do when there is emergency?

Thanks in advance.. smile.gif

2. Monsoon will started from November until February. Now ..August..weather is fine and clear. If the wave and wind become stronger you will be advised to cancel for your own safety. You will inform by your travel agent before departure as soon as possible in 24 hour notice. And they will return back your money maybe 50% or more depends which resort you staying.

3.You should be at Hentian Putra Bas Terminal at least 1 hour before depart and for your safe also.Dont worry about that...a lots people stiil around at that time.

4. Kuala Terengganu Bus Station to Merang Jetty for One way is RM10.00 per person.
Merang Jetty to Sultan Mahmood Airport for one way is RM10.00 per person.
Yess..Boat is provide by Resort.
Merang Jetty to Redang Island only 30 minute
Kuala Terengganu Syahbandar Jetty to Redang Island only 1 hour 20 minute
yess..its depends from your Resort.

5.Yess..resort will 100% responsible to you.

I have recommendation in Redang Reef Island Resort..they have promotion right now until 10 October 2008.This a nice place compare Redang Holiday (Disco + Alcohol ) tilll 12 midnight..i not recommend this resort..What i need,a place to relax and enjoy yourself with partner and friends.More privacy..and nice views.Redang is better for snorkeling trips, compare other island.Perhentian snorkeling + Diving..Lang Tengah Island for diving only, for snorkeling is limited site.

Perhentian Island + Rawa Island + Susu Dara Island...for snorkeling trip ,staying at Newcocohut .

Monsoon will start on November until february or March next year.

Today, weather in Kuala Terengganu is clear and fine ,but raining in Night.Temperature 25 Celsius to 31 Celsius.

Hi, i would like to visit either redang or perhentian island on the 2nd Sept to 5th sept (4days 3 nights) with my friends, would like to know if anyone offers or could help point me in the direction of which place to go ?

We're students and would like to keep things simple, even to the bag packing level is fine, so long the rooms have air-con for the increased price it would be ok. I mean, we're only going to sleep in it at night and spend most of the day out (thats how we're looking at it)

activities wise, would definitely like to go snorkeling, and perhaps fishing as well,

beach side activities like volleyball /beach soccer etc would be great too so the facilities should be available although not too important,

the more important part is if the part of the beach is nice to swim in (like sand/ not too many corals near the beach etc)

At night i guess there's the usual bbq dinners in alternate nights ? (i've been to redang once and they seem to have this , so im thinking bbq for twice of the 3 nights would be great.

So in terms of rooms, we can compromise, just that perhaps air-conditioning would help. won't mind cramming couple of ppl in the room as well, but i don't know how that would work in terms of pax for the activities such as snorkeling etc..

so if anyone could help me out here or offer me packages for a nice little trip to the islands so i can enjoy a nice trip with my friends in the sun before i fly off overseas to study it would be much appreciated =D. do PM me if any of you can help me or offer me any packages =D

thanks again for your time folks!

cheers!

Redang Reef island resort ,have promotion now.Go for budget

We're students and would like to keep things simple, even to the bag packing level is fine, so long the rooms have air-con for the increased price it would be ok. I mean, we're only going to sleep in it at night and spend most of the day out (thats how we're looking at it)

All Resort in Redang Island have air cond.

activities wise, would definitely like to go snorkeling, and perhaps fishing as well,

3 x Snorkeling is including with package,For Fishing trips, you have to rental the boat and will charge you RM500 or more

beach side activities like volleyball /beach soccer etc would be great too so the facilities should be available although not too important,

Yess..some resort offering such activities..Redang Reef ,Redang Bay, Redang Pelangi

the more important part is if the part of the beach is nice to swim in (like sand/ not too many corals near the beach etc)

Redang Island almost the best place for snorkeliing and nice for swimming.

At night i guess there's the usual bbq dinners in alternate nights ? (i've been to redang once and they seem to have this , so im thinking bbq for twice of the 3 nights would be great.

For package 3 day 2 Night ,they give you only 1 BBQ. If you request BBQ..you have to add more money..maybe RM50.00 per person.

So in terms of rooms, we can compromise, just that perhaps air-conditioning would help. won't mind cramming couple of ppl in the room as well, but i don't know how that would work in terms of pax for the activities such as snorkeling etc..

Do not worry about air conditioning, nowdays every resorts in Redang they have air con.For activities like snorkeling  you going with group following the intinerary.

so if anyone could help me out here or offer me packages for a nice little trip to the islands so i can enjoy a nice trip with my friends in the sun before i fly off overseas to study it would be much appreciated =D. do PM me if any of you can help me or offer me any packages =D

If you need boat to travel in Redang island,at least 6 pax minimum..for RM60 per person.

thanks again for your time folks!

cheers!

I was at puduraya to look for my return bus ticket from KT to KL,
the only company in my mind which is trusted only Trans*****nal,
however no luck to get cause they only have 1 bus depart at 1pm,
the next bus will be on 10pm.
with no place to stay at KT,
I dont wish to wait until the late bus,
I was suggested to get the bus ticket from Putra bus station,
there is a bus company called sunny express,
is that bus company have good reputation??
just worry about it cause it's a long journal from KT to KL so I dont want trouble trouble..
(friend did experience once he need to change bus on the way back to KL from Penang, summo not follow seat no.)
anyone deal with this bus company or do I have any alternative?

KK..? Kuala Kangsar ,Kuala Ketil or Kuala Besut or somewhere else...i don't know..pls explain more detail about KK....?

If you want come to Kuala Terengganu Bus Station, you choose Transnasional,Sani Ekpress,Mara Liner,Adik Beradik , Mutiara ,Sutera and S.P Bumi .The ticket you should to buy at Hentian Putra Bas Terminal..Near The Mall..PWTC or Hotel Pan Pacific.

If you in Pudu Bas Terminal, you can only buy Transnasional ticket only.

So,far Sani Ekpress don't have any bad reputation from customer.
