Today i just bought snorkel and googel only RM29.99 ..very cheapest!! From Giant Hypermarket.Tomorrow ..snorkeling in Tenggol Island... rclxm9.gif

For snorkeling,no need for fin but if you want buy ..its up to you..

Hi Samurai, nice to meet you biggrin.gif

I've see that you helps a lot people around here about their Redang trips. Anyway I'm also going to Redang on 1st September and stay at there until 3rd September, so means I choose the 3D2N package.

Recently I've do a lot of research about the resort. So far we got 3 choices:
i) Redang Reef Resort
- RM360

ii) Redang Pelangi Resort
- RM319

iii) Redang Bay Resort
- RM330

So total we got 4 persons and set 2 persons into 1 room, the prices above are Twin Sharing Weekday prices.

I just would like to clarify out about my plans, I wish Samurai can help me out in correcting if I make any mistakes on my plan. I'm from Penang. laugh.gif

31st August 2008
- Depart at 9:00PM by taking SP Bumi Bus to Kuala Terengganu bus terminal.

1st September 2008
- About 5:00AM to 6:00AM reach Kuala Terengganu bus terminal, either take cab or apply for land transport from tour to get to the Jetty

About 9:00AM something we got to prepare at the jetty waiting for the resort assistant's assist and they will bring us to the Redang Island.

3rd September 2008 - Check out in the morning (as stated in most of all resort's website) and take boat back to mainland jetty.

Questions:
1) Except SP Bumi bus, is there any other bus agent that can pick us back from Penang in afternoon session? Because SP Bumi bus will only depart at 9PM. If morning 11AM we take boat come back to mainland, we got to wait until 9PM only got bus to back to Penang.

2) There are 3 resorts above, which one is better and recommended? We prefer a relax and good environment.

3) Is the price that I stated at above is correct? laugh.gif

4) I've see some resorts have swimming pool, so far we are quite interested in Redang Reef. So is there any swimming pool in Redang Reef?

Thanks for correcting my mistakes others. laugh.gif

Just back from Redang. HUh really tired. What i found out :

1) Snorkeling is not as relaxing as you seen in TV for a first timer like me. Swallowed sea water, felt dizzy, tired. My advice, bring your own fin/flipper so that u wont use much energy. Only at marine park we cant use fin coz the water quite shallow and you can touch the ground.
2) Redang reef have the best landscape among other resorts. Its makan place is on top of rocks. So nice can see the sea while eating. At night can see stars and sea and feel the sea breeze.
3) Redang reef dont have any TV in their room. TV only at the makan place. But who cares anyways, daytime busy snorkeling, night time walking along the beach and then too tired and straight ZZzzZZ
4) Water at redang are soooooo clear. I foolishly thought its soo clear it must be fresh water. But after swallow so may times..i felt the pain sad.gif
5) Bring your underwater camera casing. You will want to record your precious underwater pics and cherish it smile.gif
6) Mr Samurai is really helpful. I bought Redang Reef Package from him. I arrived at Hentian Bas Kuala Terengganu at 5.30 am and he called me at 6.15a.m.

Ok will update some photos later.

smile.gif

To Mr Blong2u, Redang Reef dont have swimming pool, but heck, why wanna use swimming pool when u have crystal clear water smile.gif

I not sure other bus there to pick up at afternoon session, you have to go or call them at Bus Stations.Normally ,Bus going to East Coast like Terengganu or Kelantan will depart at night and arrive at early morning.
Yes for next bus going back to Penang ,you have to wait until 9.00pm..before that maybe you spend time for sightseeing in Kuala Terengganu town...Pasar Payang  Keropok lekor losong and other place.

By Flight from Penang will depart at 10.30am and arrive at 11.30 in Kuala Terengganu.
From Kuala Terengganu..9.00 am and arrive at 10.00am..

2) There are 3 resorts above, which one is better and recommended? We prefer a relax and good environment.

Redang Reef Resort

3) Is the price that I stated at above is correct? laugh.gif

Nope..they have promotion right now..some change the rate.

4) I've see some resorts have swimming pool, so far we are quite interested in Redang Reef. So is there any swimming pool in Redang Reef?

Nope..No Swimming pool .Unless in Redang Laguna Beach Resort , Redang Bay ( Small one ) and Coral Redang Island resort.

Good News now...In Redang Laguna Beach resort, they have a promotion right now until 28 October 2008.
For twin sharing is RM438
Triple   RM388
Quad    RM348

After Kuantan there no dual carriage highway. From KL to Kuala Terengganu its only 7 hour. From Kuala Terengganu to Jerteh is 1 hour 30 minute .Jerteh to Kuala Besut Jetty only 20 minute.

If you follow the Kuala Lipis route, you started from Bentong state road and federal road. Its shorter way from KL to Kuala Besut. A lots bus express following that route like Transnasional,Mutiara,Budaya and other. You have to follow from
Bentong > Kuala Lipis > Gua Musang > Kuala Krai > Machang>Jerteh>Kuala Besut

Good Luck..don't sleep when you driving iyaa.. smile.gif

i just came back from there last nite. 7 of us departed from KL on 29/08 friday 6pm, reach kuantan at nite, stay overnite at one of my friend's house. then depart from kuantan early morning around 4:30am.

the trip is better than i expect. crystal clear water, nice beach, great snorkelling activity. absolute breathtaking moment when managed to see the huge turtle grazing the bottom sea weed.

too bad didn't managed to catch a glimpse of blacktip shark at Teluk Dalam (Shark Point), the water depth is sooo deep, i think it's more than 15 meters!! i actually fear of the depth as i never been in such deep sea.

we left kuala besut at noon time yesterday and take machang, gua musang, and kuala lipis' route. the journey took about 7 hours including stopping for meal and toliet break.

Hi just want to know which resort would u guys recommend if around 10 ppl (friends) go to pulau redang? Been to redang once and stayed in Laguna beach resort , it was fantastic!. As far as i concerned there is a promotion for Laguna beach resort 3 days 2 night at around (Rm350).
Any other resort has a slightly cheaper promotion ? I just want resort that are comfort to stay in especially the room , toilet , and swimming pool! Tv is not important . ^^V
