Hi,

I would like to inquire about 3D2N Redang package for about 8-10 person on 7th,8th,9th March 2009.We will be departing from Penang. From the thread above, some resorts are fully book. I would like to know which resort is the best for accommodation? I have two in mind now- Laguna and Redang Bay. I was told not to stay in Redang Bay. I would like to hear from you on this. My budget is around rm400-rm500(including bus fare, stay, etc charges). If possible,I would like to have a quotations including bus transfer fees. Do you do only ground arrangement or including bus as well?

Kelly
*
Only Perhentian TunaBay is fully booked...because the resort is small and lots of their customer from Oversea. They not give anymore rates for new travel agent.

3D2N for snorkeling package at Redang from 7 to 9 March 2009.During this period is early birds promotion and Public Holiday on Monday..my advise pls make advance booking if you want to come... wink.gif

Laguna Redang is most perfect Resort at Redang Island. Highly Recommended..but if you think for budget and save more money..this is not right choice..unless for early birds promotion.

Redang Bay is located at Pasir Panjang..their resort building material made from bricks..its like long terrace house and not facing to beach. They have swimming pool and their staff have good services.

Redang Reef Resort almost the best location with seaview at both side, nice places for relax and value of money. The resort made by wooden.

Example : Quad Sharing weekday RM270.00 per person Seaview RM328.00 per person
Quad Sharing Weekend RM310.00 per person seaview RM350.00 per person

Return Transfer : RM20.00 per person

Bus from Penang Return : RM90.00 - RM100.00

Around RM420 to RM460.00 per person

PMed you too on almost similar questions..What's the advantages of Abdul Vs Mama in term of:

1) Water clarity & also the beach
Water Clarity almost same.Abdul beach more long stretch then mama"s

2) Able to swim & view (snorkeling) coral instead of boat
Mama's area till PIR there more choice to swim and snorkeling site instead of boat. But for Abdul is limited site for snorkeling its better you going with package.

3) Food pricing on both chalets if no package tour
Almost same with the reasonable price. With package tour you will get 2 Breakfast 2 Lunch 1 Dinner and 1 BBQ.

4) If the food pricing outrages, any nearby stalls /local food surrounding the kampung houses?
There not much choice to find local food at Kampung. You can find at Kampung jetty with good price. If you want to go to Kampung from Abdul or Mama's Chalet, you take taxi boat will cost you RM10.00 per person. The chalet will arrange the boat for you.

Thanks Samurai. I notice most of the resorts have their own dive centre. Any reason why Wisana and Kalong recommended .. is it because Reef their dive centre still new ?  smile.gif
*
Yes..some resorts have their own dive centre.

why is recommended ...

1. Value of Money ,offering by resort to complete PADI course with the reasonable price.Among the cheaper to compare other resort..Berjaya ,Coral Redang or Laguna. The package include the accommodation and meals.

2. PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre and Gold Palm...certificate awarded from international Association.

3.Their have own private beach and not too much crowded compare to Pasir Panjang. The diver can feel comfortable and relaxing.

4.Open Bar and Disco at Pasir Panjang will be little bit noisy during night. The location of wisana and kalong is quite far from the resort.

crazy Fireflyz, wanna charge me Rm250/pax for 20 pax. rclxub.gif

Say their cheap seats(Rm80+ to Rm 140+ 2 ways) are limited and yet, they are not even giving me even 1 seat of it.

Their definition of group buy = cut your throat shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif

Any idea which is the most comfort bus to KT?Don't mind paying extra for it.

Thanks
*
Bus will much cheaper then flight. For Perhentian Island, you have to take bus from Hentian Putra KL to Jerteh ,Besut..the nearest jetty to Perhentian Island. If you take flight from KL to Kota Bharu..the nearest airport to Jetty.

If you going to Redang Island, the nearest is Kuala Terengganu ,just 40 minute to Merang Jetty.

Hi samurai,
I just wanna correct something, hope you dont mind. In laguna Redang, they do have PADI open water course, but you have to go and register the course at the dive center. normally it take about 4 days to complete the course. I took my open water course license there.

Added on January 12, 2009, 1:21 pm

Hi, i notice no one answer you =D

1) 1st of all, i would like to say, Not to say wasteful just to go snorkelling, scuba diving make opportunities to let you breathe underwater and swim with a fishes, turtle, stingray. Its a totally different experience for those that never tried before. what you see in scuba diving doesn't mean that you cant see in snorkeling, but just that, you can see clearly and feel like you are one of them in underwater

2) For scuba diving, some of the dive center provide power mask, if you would like to sign up for the scuba diving Open water course, the basic gear you need to have is a mask and snorkel.

3) Redang and Perhentian is not to say much different. they both have resort, corals, and fishes. and not to be miss (chicks)  drool.gif But mostly ppl go to perhentian to relax, or scuba dive. Redang mostly for lepak, and gathering with friends. and also diving.
*
Thank you very much Juniorkirk notworthy.gif ..For agent package ,they give only snorkeling and diving package. The Resort not mentions about PADI open water course. How much they charge you to complete the PADI course.?

Some resorts at Perhentian Island will start the business on 15th February 2009..
