which one is nice , perhentian island resort ( pulau kecil ) or arwana perhentian ( pulau besar ) ? im thinking of going either 1 on May .. hope to get yr advice . thx

Before someone accused me that I have failed, allow me few seconds to post.

Someone said there's only ONE resort in the island. But i said there's MORE than one resort.

Now, that someone said that BOTH THE RESORTS (meaning more than one) are owned by the same person.

'Only one resort' doesnt equate to 'both resorts owned by the same person'.

So who's the failure?

Funny how people will go to beaches and then demand air-conditioning isn't it ? I'm looking for a place with mosquito netting, no aircond, good food and good water pressure. Even electricity isn't a necessity (except maybe to power your h/p in case of anything.)

ummm, u get to use the swimming pool in "both" resorts, u get to eat at the other resort while the bill is billed into your "original" resort, it doesnt matter where u stay coz the bill is under the "same" letterhead, and your snorkeling and diving center is also under the same resort.

Take a pick ! the best part is the receipt and letterhead. if it was 2 diff resorts, i'd say they have 2 diff receipts and 2 types of letterheads. so it doesnt really matter bout the resort name when the receipts and letterheads are the same. u view it as 2, i view it as 1. receipts and letterheads are important to me. mebbe the brand name is to u ?

oh confirm btw that u can pay your bill at the end of your stay at "either" resorts. lolz.

ok i bought tickets LEAVING K.Terenganu at 1pm
i'm staying in Pelangi beach resort
so i wanna know wat are the departure times of the BOATS from redang island to the jetty????
cuz i takut if delay/late/watever i might miss my 1pm bus back to kl and also the next bus is at 10pm at night where it is also fully booked -.-

can any1 enlighten me on this??? thanks

I've decided to go to Redang ,April this year.. probably going during weekdays as the rate should be cheaper

just a few questions:

1) please recommend me some good, affordable resorts? with basic facilities and good food..
Budget if possible, below RM450 per pax

2) should i deal directly with the resort or should I go through a travel agency?

Seems like Redang a hot place right now. If I stay in Berjaya Beach Resort, is it easy to go to Pasir Panjang? How good is the house reef of Berjaya? I am going for diving.

Berjaya Redang is isolated from other beaches-leh....The entrance to Berjaya is via the ugly ex-fishermen jetty on the Sout Western side of the island & u will be transported to the North-eastern side of the island where the resort located....The beach is having a bluish crystal clear water but NO CORAL!!

No way to go to other beaches...regretted staying there way back in 2001!

cant find lang D'coconut's. But u may call the reservation desk and look for Miss Candy and get information from her. Coz she also did say that D'coconut belongs to the owner of that private island.

i saw pulau perhentian island resort is too expensive for April stay around rm300+ per nite >.<
