I dun think Redang has got a golf course. In fact the Redang island is very small only..

Redang is not VERY small as you think. It takes 25Km to circle the whole Island and almost same distance from Island to mainland.
Compare Phi Phi Island, Redang 2,5 x bigger but of course Penang Island much more bigger rclxms.gif

Yes, there got few par 3 but worry you cannot find green.

3D 2N not enough time for you to explore some more want to tee off. rclxub.gif

I guess all the packages there include meals and barbecue.
Perhentian Besar is great, but Perhentian Kecil is more great.
P.Besar is where most of us will go, P.Kecil mostly are tourists, and if you are lucky, you can see some of them naked on the beach.

Redang is nice, the scenery and the beach is nicer than Perhentian. But the snorkelling point for Redang will be less than Perhentian.

aiyoo so sad go holiday see naked ppl....
redang resorts are more established. but i dun like redang cause the diving there isn't as good... unless ur really lucky.
tenggol.. now that's a spot but beware of sand flies whistling.gif

actually i think it also depends on the resort and beach you're at, because perhentian beaches are not like redang. redang beach is a whole stretch where u can walk from one end to another.

perhentian have many mini beaches which u can reach by the boat taxis. the shores are not connected.

can someone help me out here. I heard redang is a duty free island, but are there any duty free shops where we can buy booze and chocs at cheaper prices.

As fas as i am concerned, tioman has one, and it's really cheap there.

Any in redang?

Thanks.

I don think Redang is a duty-free island. Langkawi is.
In fact, Redang island is a very small island only, there are seldom shops there.
I believe you can search for more info about Redang from Yahoo or Google.

if u go to lang tengah, u'll end up snorkeling in redang places as well coz everywhere is so close by.
but lang tengah got privacy. check the pages b4. i displayed the prices for scuba n snorkeling gear. there is only 1 resort in lang tengah. and if u dont go full board, i dunno what u gonna eat.

i've been to redang and perhentian
redang is more commercialized, therefore the snorkeling spots are not that nice, and a lot of dead corals, water is shallow.

if you're aiming for a good snorkeling trip, i'd suggest perhentian. the corals are far more beautiful, im able to see a lot more compared to redang.
just that the beach is not that attractive as redang's beach.

Pulau Gemia or Gem Isle

It's beside Pulau Kapas, Perhentian is above Lang Tengah and Redang

i'm a fan in Lang tengah. Good spot if u wan some privacy than bunch of hooligans that never seen water b4 come splashing water on your face.hahahaa.

Been there every year for the past 4 years. Although the facility cannot be compared to redang laguna or berjaya redang. You get the neccessity llike water, aircond, electrcity.

If u wan to have some nice snorkelling spots. Lang tengah offers good shore reefs but u need to be adventorous.

Lang tengah is a good place to learn to dive because of the sea condition is not rough it have minimal wave and sandy bottom good for students that cant stay put and knocking on the pitiful corals.
as for diving go to Redang, perhentian, tenggol, tioman this other islands are better of in terms of sea life.
